A method may include determining, in a controller, at least one allowable maximal range expansion bias value for at least one picocell within a coverage area of a macrocell. The method may also include sending the determined allowable maximal range expansion bias value for the at least one picocell from the controller to the macrocell. A further method may include receiving at least one allowable maximal range expansion bias value for at least one picocell from a controller. The method may also include updating, by a macrocell, a range expansion bias value for each picocell within a macrocell based on the received allowable maximal range expansion bias value.

Abstract: A method for selecting a clock source in Synchronization Digital Hierarchy (SDH) network and a clock module are provided in the present invention. The method includes: generating a clock information message based on the clock quality information in SDH network, and the clock module of every network node in said SDH network independently selects a clock source by using said clock information message. The method and clock module for selecting a clock source in SDH provided in the present invention enable automatic switch and recovery for a clock source, and effectively solve the problem of clock looping, and adequately maintain the compatibility with the existing system without increasing the cost of the system.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for boosting power for a communications link between a base station and a user device, or user equipment, in a cellular communications network. In one embodiment, the communications link is a downlink between the base station and the user device established via a downlink channel having a full channel bandwidth including a number of sub-carrier frequencies. The base station determines whether a power boost is needed for a downlink to the user device. If so, the base station uses a subset of the sub-carrier frequencies from the full channel bandwidth as a reduced bandwidth channel, or sub-channel, for the downlink to the user device such that signal power is concentrated on the sub-carrier frequencies of the reduced channel bandwidth rather than spread across the sub-carrier frequencies of the full channel bandwidth. As a result, a power boost for the downlink is provided.

The method includes: receiving a search request from a user and determining online communities used by the user according to user attribute information contained in the search request; generating a sub-search request corresponding to each online community used by the user according to the search request and acquiring a search result corresponding to the sub-search request; combining search results corresponding to all sub-search requests and sending the combined search results to the user. The invention can improve search efficiency for users.

Abstract: A supported composite tool pack according to aspects of the disclosure includes a concave plastic base coupled to a durable fabric body. A substantially rigid support panel divides the interior of the pack and supports the fabric body and contents of the pack with respect to the base. The pack includes a pair of backpack straps permitting the pack to be worn on the back of a user, while keeping both hands free for opening doors, hatches or scaling ladders. The fabric body defines a plurality of organizational structures inside the pack, including but not limited to closed and open pockets, rings and clips for the placement of tools, spare parts and other equipment. The base and support panel maintain the pack and its contents in an upright and accessible position when open or closed, giving the user a stable, protected work platform no matter the environment.

The present invention provides a method for forecasting output power of a wind turbine in a wind farm, including: generating a corrected data set based on environmental data collected from at least one sensor in the wind farm; correcting a weather forecasting model by using the corrected data set; obtaining a forecast value of wind information at the wind turbine based on the corrected weather forecasting model; and forecasting the output power of the wind turbine based on the forecast value and a power forecasting model.

The chemical compounds include nucleotide and nucleoside analogs which possess a blocking group covalently attached to the 3? hydroxyl of the sugar moiety. The blocking group may optionally be additionally covalently attached to a linker and/or detectable label. The nucleotide analogs may be ribonucleotide or deoxyribonucleotide analogs. Methods include incorporation of the reversible terminator molecules into growing polynucleotide strands by polymerase enzymes, such as in single base sequencing methodologies utilizing sequential reversible termination techniques.

Abstract: A detector-readout interface for an avalanche particle detector comprises a resistive layer formed at a bottom side of a gas chamber and a dielectric layer formed under said resistive layer and is adapted for capacitive coupling to an external readout board. This provides a modular detector configuration in which the readout card and detector core can be combined freely and interchangeably. The readout board can even be removed or replaced without switching off the detector. At the same time, the configuration provides an effective protection against sparks and discharges, and in particular obliviates the need for additional protecting circuits. The configuration may be employed in any avalanche particle detector, such as the MicroMegas or GEM detectors.

Abstract: Estimation of available bandwidth on a network uses packet pairs and spatially filtering. Packet pairs are transmitted over the network. The dispersion of the packet pairs is used to generate samples of the available bandwidth, which are then classified into bins to generate a histogram. The bins can have uniform bin widths, and the histogram data can be aged so that older samples are given less weight in the estimation. The histogram data is then spatially filtered. Kernel density algorithms can be used to spatially filter the histogram data. The network available bandwidth is estimated using the spatially filtered histogram data. Alternatively, the spatially filtered histogram data can be temporally filtered before the available bandwidth is estimated.
