    Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically placing a taxonomy candidate within an existing taxonomy are presented. More particularly, a neural taxonomy expander (a neural network model) is trained according to the existing, curated taxonomic hierarchy. Moreover, for each node in the taxonomic hierarchy, an embedding vector is generated. A taxonomy candidate is received, where the candidate is to be placed within the existing taxonomy. An embedding vector is generated for the candidate and projected by a projection function of the neural taxonomy expander into the taxonomic hyperspace. A set of closest neighbors to the projected embedding vector of the taxonomy candidate is identified and the closest neighbor of the set is assumed as the parent for the taxonomy candidate. The taxonomy candidate is added to the existing taxonomic hierarchy as a child to the identified parent node.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an adaptive high-precision compression method and system based on a convolutional neural network model, and belongs to the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and image processing. According to the method of the present disclosure, coarse-grained pruning is performed on a neural network model by using a differential evolution algorithm first, and the coarse-grained space is quickly searched through an entropy importance criterion and an objective function with good guidance to obtain a near-optimal neural network structure. Then fine-grained search space is built on the basis of an optimal individual obtained from the coarse-grained search, and fine-grained pruning is performed on the neural network model by a differential evolution algorithm to obtain a network model with an optimal structure. Finally, the performance of the optimal model is restored by using a multi-teacher multi-step knowledge distillation network to reach the precision of an original model.

A grain yield monitoring method comprises: when a balance arm is in a balanced state, obtaining calibrated grain mass based on mass of a clump weight, and obtaining grain volume in the metering apparatus based on trigger position of arrays of photoelectric sensors; and obtaining measured grain mass of grain flowing through a flow sensor within a mass calibration time period based on a grain flow signal, calibrating grain mass based on an error between the calibrated grain mass and the measured grain mass to obtain a total grain yield, and obtaining a moisture content of grain based on the grain volume. The calibration of grain yield and measurement of moisture content of the grain can be synchronized.

The PMP data and MIEC data of the inner surface of the pipe are acquired by a probe, which can detect crack defects in gas pipes under high-speed movement, thus improving the efficiency and stability of dynamic crack detection.

    Abstract: Constructing a motion vector candidate list for inter-prediction in video coding is provided. A video encoder performs inter prediction for a frame of the video to generate prediction residuals. The inter prediction is performed using motion vectors (MVs) for blocks of the frame. To determine the motion vector of a block, the encoder determines an integer-valued MV for the block based on a reference frame and selects, based on the integer-valued MV, a subset of candidate MVs from a list of MVs including MVs of neighboring blocks. The encoder identifies a MV from the subset of candidate MVs for the block and searches in a neighborhood of the identified MV for a refined MV. The encoder calculates the prediction residuals for the block based on a reference block in the reference frame pointed by the refined MV and encodes the prediction residuals into a bitstream representing the video.

The exposed layer can be deposited by an atomic layer deposition process, and can be, for example, a tantalum nitride layer.
