  • Patent number: 11958256
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of making at least a portion of a garment that includes at least one three-dimensional contour. The disclosed method includes providing a fiber and solvent mixture that includes fibers and a solvent capable to causing a plurality of covalent bonds to be created between the fibers. In many embodiments, the plurality of covalent bonds form when a catalyst, such as heat, is provided to the fiber and solvent mixture. The process can be performed using, for example, either a 3D printer or mold form. The fibers used can be natural, synthetic, or a blend of natural and/or synthetic fibers. The solvent preferably includes ionic salts in water.

  • Patent number: 11090876
Abstract: A thermoplastic composite component assembly and method of manufacturing the thermoplastic composite component assembly is disclosed. The thermoplastic composite component assembly is manufactured by first performing a molding step to form individual assembly features as discrete assembly feature components, and separately forming a thermoplastic composite component using a first compression molding step. Then, a reprocessing step is performed where the discrete assembly feature components are integrated with the thermoplastic composite component using a second compression molding step. The reprocessing step essentially “welds” the discrete assembly feature components to the thermoplastic composite component at each of a plurality of desired assembly feature sites.

  • Patent number: 8140841
Abstract: A technique for updating configurations of a target system in a computer. The method comprises booting, based on Preboot Execution Environment technology, a micro-system for updating configurations of a target system before booting the target system, the micro-system performing the steps of: (a) acquiring target configuration packages via a network from a server; (b) extracting target configuration data from said target configuration packages; and (c) updating the configurations of said target system by using said target configuration data, wherein said micro-system is independent of said target system.
