A method may include defining a dynamic scope for an operation, receiving a request to allocate a portion of the range of shared memory, allocating a monotonically increasing portion of the range of shared memory such that a subsequent request to allocate memory is allocated a different portion of the range of shared memory, receiving a request to deallocate the allocated portion of the range of shared memory, deallocating the allocated portion of the range of shared memory by protecting the deallocated portion of the range of shared memory from any subsequent access, and in response to an access of the protected deallocated portion of the range of shared memory by one of the one or more threads or processes of the operation, trapping and terminating the one thread or process.

    Abstract: Embodiments discussed herein refer to LiDAR systems and methods that monitor for fault conditions that could potentially result in unsafe operation of a laser. The systems and methods can monitor for faulty conditions involving a transmitter system and movement of mirrors in a scanning system. When a fault condition is monitored, a shutdown command is sent to the transmitter system to cease laser transmission. The timing by which the laser should cease transmission is critical in preventing unsafe laser exposure, and embodiments discussed herein enable fault detection and laser shutoff to comply with laser safety standards.

A controller controls an inert gas to be injected into a first intermediate container, and stops the injection. The controller controls formation water to be injected into the first intermediate container, and stops the injection. The controller controls the first intermediate container to be communicated with a core holder, and adjusts a pressure of a back pressure valve, so that the formation water enters a core to simulate edge and bottom water invasion. In the present disclosure, by adding the inert gas and the formation water to the intermediate container, an infinite edge and bottom water with sufficient energy at an early stage of a water invasion and a limited edge and bottom water with lower energy at a later stage of the water invasion can be effectively simulated.

    Abstract: A railway self-generating express freight car bogie has a wheel-axle assembly, frame, journal box suspension device, bolster, foundation brake, side bearing, empty/load auto-adjustment equipment, central suspension device, longitudinal traction device, vertical damper and lateral damper. An axle-end generator is connected at the outer end of an axle of the wheel-axle assembly, the rotor part of the axle-end generator is connected to the end bearing of the wheel-axle assembly by the axle-end bolts, and the stator part is connected to the mount of the journal box suspension devices. The bogie is designed according to the zero-wear concept, and a large number of rubber components and hydraulic dampers are used to improve the lateral stability, linear stability and curve passing performance of the car, so that the bogie is highly adaptable to railway lines, and can meet the operating requirements within 160 km/h and reduce the workload of bogie operation and maintenance.

    Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for sanitizing logged data packets in a distributed system prior to storing them in a remote or third-party data server. Interactions with an application are monitored and values in a data packet are extracted from the interaction. The values are classified based on a classification configuration and respective labels of the values. The values are then sanitized based on the classification to prevent exposure of secure or private data. The sanitized data packets are then logged into the remote data server. The logged data can be used to help resolve events occurring in the application. The classification configuration can be iteratively updated and the interactions repeated to capture data that was previously sanitized to aid in resolution of events. The logged data can also be used in research or analysis, such as for identifying potential improvements to the application.

Multi-modal data including numerical data and unstructured data are extracted from customer interactions with the merchant. The features for each type are then separately used to predict probabilities of customer intent. A neural network is used to combine the predictions into a single set of estimates of customer intent.
