    Abstract: In some embodiments, a method analyzes content of a video to generate a representation for a video that represents a relationship of a bitrate to a quality measurement for the video. A plurality of candidate points on the representation are selected. Then, the method selects a profile ladder from at least a portion of the plurality of candidate points. Each profile in the profile ladder is associated with a candidate point and the profile includes a corresponding bitrate and a quality measurement for the respective candidate point. The profile ladder is used for the video.

    Abstract: Provided are a myeloid-specific promoter and a use thereof. The myeloid-specific promoter includes a nucleic acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 2. The myeloid-specific promoter shows specificity to myeloid tissues. It initiates a gene expression with high efficiency in myeloid cells, but with relative low efficiency in non-myeloid cells. As such, the myeloid-specific promoter regulates the specific expression of a gene in myeloid tissues. The myeloid-specific promoter and the CYBB gene are inserted into a lentiviral vector, and the constructed lentiviral expression vector shows specificity to myeloid tissues and can effectively restore the expression of gp91-phox protein and restore the generation function of ROS, which is of great significance for CGD treatment.

    Abstract: A method for forming a glass sheet includes forming a glass ribbon. A robot arm is operated to move an end effector through a preprogrammed cycle. The cycle includes engaging a segment of the glass ribbon with the end effector, separating the engaged segment from the glass ribbon to generate a glass sheet, and moving the glass sheet away from the glass ribbon. The preprogrammed cycle designates predetermined positions of the end effector at predetermined points in time. While the robot arm is operating through the preprogrammed cycle, a parameter indicative of a force being exerted on the glass ribbon by the end effector is sensed. A position of the end effector is altered to differ from the predetermined position at the corresponding point in time when the sensed parameter deviates from a target value. An excessive force applied to the glass ribbon can be reduced in real-time.
