  • Patent number: 11943710
Abstract: An electronic device for managing gateways comprises: a processor; and a computer-readable storage medium which contains executable instructions which, when executed by the processor, causes the electronic device to: determine whether the current time falls within the specified sleep time interval; in response to determining that the current time falls within the specified sleep time interval, determine whether the first extender node among one or a plurality of extender nodes is in an idle connection state, wherein the idle connection state includes: the first extender node being not connected to any client, or the first extender node being only connected to a sleeping client; and sending a sleep command to the first extender node based at least in part on the idle connection state of the first extender node, wherein the sleep command instructs the first extender node to power off a wireless network interface of the first extender node.

  • Patent number: 11889417
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a gateway device, wireless extender, method, device and medium. The gateway device comprises: a memory having an instruction stored thereon; and a processor configured to execute the instruction stored on the memory to cause the gateway device to execute the following operation: obtaining a schedule used to automatically turn on or turn off the radio transceiver function of the gateway device; and synchronizing the schedule to the wireless extender that is connected to the gateway device.

  • Patent number: 11812487
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method, a device, an extender, and a computer medium for automatically restoring connections. In this method, a wireless extender records the number of packets received from an access point within a first predetermined time; the wireless extender compares the recorded number with a predetermined threshold; and in response to determining that the recorded number is smaller than the predetermined threshold, the wireless extender restarts a WiFi module used for WiFi communication in the wireless extender to reestablish a WiFi connection with the access point. By automatically detecting the WiFi connection status and automatically triggering the restart of the WiFi module, it is possible to attempt to restore the WiFi connection without manual intervention, thereby improving the efficiency of network restoration.

  • Publication number: 20220308855
Abstract: An electronic device included in a network capable of upgrading firmware via the network is provided that enhances stability of the network. The electronic device includes a network interface, a non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon, and a hardware processor. The hardware processor is configured to execute the instructions to store a list of other electronic devices connected in the network. Moreover, the hardware processor is configured to execute the instructions to download a firmware upgrade to the electronic device and determine whether a reboot setting of the electronic device is enabled or disabled. When enabled, it is determined whether an active download session is being conducted by any of the other electronic devices and rebooting the electronic device is delayed when an active download session is detected; otherwise, the electronic device is rebooted to implement the firmware upgrade without a delay.

  • Publication number: 20220201511
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a network device, a method executed by the network device, and a computer-readable medium. Some aspects of the present disclosure relate to a first network device, including a memory, on which instructions are stored, and a processor configured to execute the instructions stored on the memory to cause the first network device to execute the following operations: executing channel scanning on a main working channel of a second network device coupled to the first network device to detect a beacon frame broadcast by the second network device; determining whether a beacon frame broadcast by the second network device is detected within a first predetermined time duration; and at least partially in response to the determination that no beacon frame broadcast by the second network device has been detected within the first predetermined time duration, causing the second network device to automatically restart its Wi-Fi module.
