  • Patent number: 12237919
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may receive one or more service data units (SDUs) at a layer two (L2) layer of the transmitting device. The transmitting device may encode, at the L2 layer, the one or more SDUs according to one or more network coding parameters to obtain at least one encoded protocol data unit (PDU), the one or more network coding parameters comprising a rateless code. The transmitting device may generate, for the at least one encoded PDU, at least one corresponding PDU header. The transmitting device may output the at least one encoded PDU and the at least one corresponding PDU header from the L2 layer to a lower layer of the transmitting device for transmission to one or more receiving devices.

  • Publication number: 20250038881
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device may receive an encoded signal including a set of information blocks. Each information block may include a set of encoded information bits and a set of cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits. The receiving device may perform a staircase decoding procedure to decode the set of encoded information bits of a selected information block that is part of a subset of the set of information blocks that is within a sliding window. The staircase decoding procedure may include one or more iterations of a decoding process applied to the subset of the set of information blocks. The receiving device may perform, inbetween iterations of the staircase decoding procedure applied to the subset of the set of information blocks within the sliding window, a CRC procedure based on the set of CRC bits in the set of information blocks.

  • Publication number: 20250039795
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first device may transmit a message indicating that the first device is operating on intermittently available energy harvested from outside the first device. The first device may receive a low-power wakeup signal. The first device may transmit, based at least in part on an energy harvesting state of the first device, an indication that the first device is capable of supporting continuous transmission and reception during a time frame having a configured duration. The first device may communicate during the time frame. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20250024478
Abstract: Some techniques described herein provide indication of a preferred scheduling mode for a user equipment (UE) based at least in part on an energy harvesting state of the UE. For example, the preferred scheduling mode may indicate a configured grant scheduling mode or a dynamic grant scheduling mode and/or one or more parameters associated with the preferred scheduling mode. For example, the one or more parameters may be based at least in part on an energy harvesting state of the UE. By indicating the preferred scheduling mode, the UE can selectively perform a transmission using a dynamic grant resource or a configured grant resource. Thus, the UE can request a dynamic grant resource when the UE is associated with a high energy level or a relatively fast charging rate, or a CG resource when the UE is associated with a low energy level ora relatively slow charging rate.
