  • Patent number: 10630858
Abstract: A document approval management system includes an image forming apparatus, a document management server, and a mail server, connected via a network. The image forming apparatus includes an image acquisition device, a character recognizer, a workflow information acquirer that acquires workflow information from character information recognized, a coded image creator that creates a coded image including the workflow information, a generator that generates an image with coded image, a workflow creator that creates a workflow of the image with coded image, an output device that outputs the image with coded image of the workflow to the document management server, an e-mail transmission device that transmits an e-mail accompanied with the coded image to an approver, an image forming device that forms the image with coded image on a recording sheet, and a signed image acquirer that acquires a signed image, when an approval receiver receives the approval.

  • Patent number: 10078476
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a display section, an operation acceptance section, a printing section, an external terminal, a display control section, a readout control section, an interpreter section, and a control section. The readout control section reads metadata on a print job from a USB memory connected to the external terminal. The display control section uses a result of analysis of the metadata in the interpreter section to allow the display section to display a display prompting a user to specify a print target area in document data generated as the print job. The readout control section uses the result of analysis to read from the USB memory a portion of data corresponding to the specified print target area. The control section allows the printing section to perform print processing based on the read portion of data corresponding to the print target area.

  • Patent number: 9811296
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: an image reading section, an operating section; a synthesizing region acceptance section that accepts, through the touch panel, specification of an object synthesizing region of a document image acquired by reading by the image reading section; an object acquiring section that acquires a plurality of objects to be individually synthesized in the object synthesizing region; and an image creating section that synthesizes each of object images representing the acquired objects in the object synthesizing region of the document image, thus creating, for the plurality of objects, individual outputting synthetic images containing the respective object images synthesized thereinto.
