  • Patent number: 5440601
Abstract: The counting station has a transporting section (2b), on which the banderoled packs of notes (P) are moved at certain intervals uniformally past the rotating counting disk (1a, 1a') of a note-counting device (1, 1') fixedly installed on this transporting section. Downstream of the transporting section (2b) there is a diverter (9) with two further transporting sections (2c, 2d), of which one receives packs of notes having the correct number of notes of value and the other receives packs of notes having the incorrect number of notes of value.

  • Patent number: 4793251
Abstract: The print carriers which bear security-paper prints arranged in longitudinal and transverse rows and on which misprints are marked are numbered in such a way that all security-paper prints arranged in succession in a longitudinal row, but excluding misprints, receive a consecutive numerical sequence. Each longitudinal row contains security-paper prints of a specific numerical series. The print carriers are then cut into strips transversely relatively to the longitudinal rows. Approximately every 100 strips are stacked, in the order in which they occur, into a strip stack (T), in which all the security-paper prints arranged vertically on top of one another, if appropriate mixed with misprints, have a consecutive numerical sequence of a particular series. The strip stacks (T) are cut into security-paper bundles (U) which are sorted according to numerical series by means of a distributor station (10, 11a, 11b) and are fed to as many separate buffer stores (12A to 12F) as there are numerical series.

  • Patent number: 4677910
Abstract: Processing is based on print carriers in the form of security paper webs or security paper sheets, containing security paper prints which are arranged in the manner of matrices in transverse rows and longitudinal rows and on which spoilt notes are identified by a mark which can be read by a reading instrument. The print carriers pass, in succession, by a reading instrument which detects the positions of the spoilt notes and feeds them into a computer for storage, a cancellation printer controlled by this computer, which provides spoilt notes with a cancellation print, and a numbering machine. The numbering mechanisms of this numbering machine are moved forward by the computer in such a way that always the satisfactory security paper prints, placed in succession in any longitudinal row, are serially numbered, the spoilt notes being neglected.

  • Patent number: 4453707
Abstract: A pile of printed sheets comprising n.times.m banknotes per sheet are cut in a strip cutting unit into m strip piles and banded, the previously banded strip piles belonging to the same pile of sheets being gathered and delivered simultaneously as a group in the longitudinal direction of the strip piles to a bundle cutting unit and cut into n bundles per strip pile. The bundles are delivered sequentially to one of a pair of alternately filled and discharged magazine drums comprising each N magazines disposed at spaced angular intervals along their outer periphery and the drums are rotatably driven at a constant speed such that the bundles penetrate sequentially and separately into the successive magazines of the drum concerned in which every ten bundles of the same series are piled up and subsequently removed to form bundle packets. The number N of drum magazines corresponds to the maximum number m.sub.o .times.n.sub.o of banknotes possibly contained in a single sheet to be processed.
