  • Publication number: 20140095241
Abstract: A contact routing and scheduling system is provided allowing users to define various contact routing and scheduling contexts to direct a contact to a calendar of appointment availability representing the availability of a set of representatives pre-qualified to have times available for an appropriate appointment and to book an appointment as an integral part of the contact routing function. The system utilizes multiple visual user interfaces to allow users, contacts, and administrators to interact with the contact routing and appointment scheduling system. The system allows for user selection of contact routing and scheduling rules, association of scheduling activities to the contact routing process, and association of representatives who will ultimately accept appointments with contacts. The system also utilizes various techniques to associate contacts with particular contact routing and scheduling contexts received by the contact through email and/or other correspondence means.

  • Publication number: 20050236479
Abstract: The present invention is directed to novel systems and methods for transmitting location event information to and/or from an electronic device, such as a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, from and/or to one or more location ID stations. Among other things, a method is disclosed that involves wirelessly receiving at least one signal at an electronic device associated with a package as the package is transported from a source location to a destination location in a manufacturing process, supply chain, and/or distribution network, the at least one signal including location event information that is sufficient to specify a location of the package at a time the at least one signal is received. The method further involves, based upon the at least one signal, storing data representative of the location event information in memory of the electronic device so that the location of the package identified by the at least one signal can be subsequently ascertained by retrieving and analyzing the data.

  • Publication number: 20050157774
Abstract: One embodiment of the invention is directed to a temperature monitor comprising a housing, a temperature sensor to provide temperature indications, wherein the temperature sensor is disposed inside the housing and exposed to an ambient temperature, circuitry within the housing for processing and storing the temperature indications, and a power supply within the housing and coupled to the circuitry. The power supply is adapted to provide a level of power to the circuitry sufficient for the operability of the circuitry at least at any ambient temperature between ?40° C. and ?80° C. Another embodiment of the invention is directed to a method comprising acts of exposing the interior of a housing to a temperature below ?40° C., measuring the temperature in the interior of the housing, storing an indication of the temperature within the housing, and processing the indication of the temperature within the housing.

  • Publication number: 20050052284
Abstract: A product supply chain may be viewed not just as a series of discrete, unrelated shipment transactions, but as a “process” (or pipeline) that can be subject to statistical process control. The present invention is directed to novel systems and methods for collecting data concerning one or more aspects of a supply chain, for performing statistical analysis on the collected data to facilitate the identification of anomalies or inefficiencies in the process, and for communicating the results of such statistical analysis to those responsible for the supply chain so that remedial measures may be taken, if appropriate. Among other things, a method is disclosed for use in a system in which at least one first sensor is associated with at least one first item that is transported from a first shipping location to a first receiving location so that the at least one first sensor can monitor at least one physical or environmental condition of the at least one first item as the at least one first item is so transported.
