  • Patent number: 10703392
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a generator system for rail vehicles, for example, a system including a generator with a rotor and a stator, and a journal box unit. The journal box unit may include a bearing for mounting an axle, and a bearing housing. An end cap is arranged on the front face of the axle. The end cap is connected to the axle for co-joint rotation therewith, and the stator is connected to the bearing housing. A friction wheel is arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the end cap, the friction wheel being designed as the rotor of the generator.

  • Publication number: 20150252840
Abstract: A bearing lubricated with a medium, particularly a roller bearing or sliding bearing, including two bearing rings (1, 2) and a bearing path (3, 4) arranged on each of these bearing rings (1, 2), and a sacrificial anode (6) that is associated with at least one of the two bearing rings (1). The problem addressed is that of providing a bearing lubricated with a medium and including a sacrificial anode, the operational behavior of the bearing being only slightly influenced by the sacrificial anode. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the sacrificial anode (6) is arranged outside of the bearing interior (7) which is formed between the bearing rings (1, 2); and the sacrificial anode (6) is connected to the bearing interior (7) in an electrically-conductive manner.

  • Publication number: 20100299926
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for setting bearing play or prestress of anti-friction bearing arrangements with at least two outer or inner rings which are adjustable axially with respect to one another, at least two inner or outer rings fixed axially with respect to one another, and rolling bodies arranged between them. The rolling bodies roll on rolling tracks of the bearing rings and are guided in cages in which markings are arranged on at least one rolling body. A sensor is attached to a cage and an evaluation unit is coupled to the sensor. To set the prestress and bearing play, the bearing arrangement is loaded with an axial force or tilting moment. The bearing arrangement is rotated by at least one full revolution, the rolling-body rotation is recorded by a sensor, and the outer or inner rings are adjusted in relation to the predefined prestress or hearing play.

  • Publication number: 20090199640
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the analysis of bearing damages by means of an envelope demodulation signal, at least one variable of the envelope demodulation signal that is characteristic of the occurrence of bearing damages being determined. The invention is characterized in that the characteristic variable is repeatedly determined during a plurality of predetermined intervals and these intervals are shorter than the intervals between external disturbances.
