  • Patent number: 5217722
Abstract: A conveyor belt has edges with longitudinally extending profiles formed as grooves or elevations for sealing and guiding. An apparatus for producing belts with profiled edges uses a cutting device and profiled molds to form profiles in the belt and its edge while the belt is guided and supported by rolls. The apparatus further includes a cutter which forms a groove in the conveyor belt and which allows lateral guiding of the bolt in relation to the mold.

  • Patent number: 5203996
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus, in particular a machine, for the pressing and dewatering or filtering of sludges, fibrous material suspensions or cellulosic material suspensions, having two circulating filter belts or screen belts between which the material to be pressed, dewatered or filtered is made to pass, and two circulating pressure belts or supporting belts for supporting said two filter belts on their sides facing away from the material to be treated, with supporting or pressure means, in particular stationary during the operation of the apparatus, for the pressure or supporting belts on their sides facing away from the filter belts or the material to be treated.

  • Patent number: 5169581
Abstract: A conveyor belt has edges with longitudinally extending profiles formed as grooves or elevations for sealing and guiding. A process for producing belts with profiled edges uses a cutting device and profiled molds to form profiles in the belt and its edge while the belt is guided and supported by rolls.

  • Patent number: 4857193
Abstract: A chicane system is provided in a belt filter press in a gravity drainage zone. The gravity drainage zone includes a movable filter belt, an inlet section for receiving a suspension on the filter belt, and an outlet for discharging separated liquid and solid components of the suspension. A support member is mounted over the filter belt and has a longitudinal axis generally perpendicular to the filter belt movement. A plurality of flow turners depend from the support member and engage the filter belt to prevent clogging of the filter belt by the suspension solid component. Each flow turner includes a plow portion extending into the suspension and engaging the filter belt and a coupling portion fixed to the support member. The opposite ends of the support member are slidably coupled to the retaining walls for floating translatory movement of the support member and flow turners in a vertical direction toward and away from the filter belt during operation.

  • Patent number: 4612123
Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a regulating apparatus for a dewatering machine, in particular a double strainer dewatering machine (sieve belt press), with one or more control circuits, for instance a flocculant control circuit and/or a flow rate control circuit, or a straining rate control circuit, to adapt to sludges or suspensions with varying dewatering properties, the improvement comprising means employing the rate of freely draining filtrate in the strainer zone as the criterion value for the flocculant control circuit.

  • Patent number: 4460461
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for regulating a water-removing or drainage machine, particularly a double-sieve sludge drainage machine having a plurality of automatic control means for adaptation thereof to sludges with different drainage properties, comprising an automatic throughput control means in which a sludge level in a filtering zone serves as an indication for the automatic throughput control means, an automatic flocculant control means adapted to employ shearing strength of a sludge-flocculant mixture as an indication of drainage behavior, and an automatic sieve velocity control means responsive in dependence upon drainage velocity.

  • Patent number: 4302871
Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a press or reversing roller for double sieve band dehydrating machines for dehydrating suspensions, particularly a press roller in which the sieves with an interposed sheet of material partially loop over the roller, the roller being provided in a multiple-piece manner over the sieve path, and wherein one step bearing is provided at the contact point of two adjacent rollers, the improvement comprising stationary covering means secured between end faces of adjacent rollers, said covering means having the same radius as said adjacent rollers at least in the looping area and serving as a glide shoe.

  • Patent number: 4147101
Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a press for dehydrating material in which the material is passed between two endless sieve belts adapted to move in the same direction and to pass over and around pairs of rollers and/or offset upper and lower rollers, the rollers in various sets forming a pre-dehydration zone and a wedging or compression zone,The improvement comprising a compression zone in the form of a frame-like structure, said structure containing individual compression roller means mounted on bearing blocks of varying heights,And means for displacing and/or exchanging said bearing blocks, whereby a path for said material has an ascending slope with line compression, or is wavelike or S-shaped with surface compression.
