  • Publication number: 20060188933
Abstract: Isolated nucleic acid encoding the amino acid sequence of murine IRAK-M; expression vectors comprising nucleic acid encoding IRAK-M and host cells comprising them are disclosed. IRAK-M is induced upon toll-like receptor (TLR) stimulation and negatively regulates TLR signaling. Methods for identifying antagonists and agonists of IRAK-M are described.

  • Publication number: 20060121460
Abstract: The invention describes isolated Toll-like receptor 11 (“TLR11”) and Toll-like receptor 12 (“TLR12”) polypeptides as well as isolated variants and fragments thereof and the isolated nucleic acids encoding them. The invention also describes vectors and host cells containing nucleic acid encoding a TLR11 or a TLR12 polypeptide and methods for producing a TLR11 or a TLR12 polypeptide. Also described are methods for screening for compounds which modulate TLR11 or TLR12 activity.

  • Publication number: 20050163764
Abstract: Mammals are treated with agonists of bacterially-activated TLRs. The agonist are administered orally or mucosally. In one embodiment, the mammal treated is subject to a gastro-intestinal injury. The agonist can be administered prior to infliction of the gastro-intestinal injury, subsequent to infliction of the gastro-intestinal injury and concurrently with infliction of the gastro-intestinal injury. In another embodiment, the mammal is subject to tissue damage. The agonist is administered prior to the primary treatment, following the primary treatment or concurrently with the primary treatment.
