  • Publication number: 20240383164
Abstract: Systems and methods for slitting a delivery device are described. A slitter assembly for slitting the delivery device in accordance with the present disclosure includes a housing, a lock mechanism coupled to the housing, and a clamshell mechanism coupled to the lock mechanism. The clamshell mechanism defines a channel having an adjustable diameter and sized to receive a device. The slitter assembly also includes a blade configured to slit a tubular shaft of the delivery device.

  • Patent number: 10034705
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to electrode assemblies, and specifically to struts comprising electrode assemblies and electrodes contained on the struts. The electrode assembly struts are constructed to have a low profile and to have superior strength over the length of the strut such that an electrode assembly including the strut is highly resistant to radial compression. The electrodes included on the low profile, high strength strut also is designed to have a reduced profile such that electrode assemblies including the strut and electrode can easily be used with 6 French and smaller guide catheter assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20050096697
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for sealing a subcutaneous tissue puncture. The method and apparatus reduce the occurrence of anchor shuttling by stiffening a tip or end portion of an insertion sheath that acts as a one-way valve to a closure device anchor. The stiffening of the tip reduces shuttling by reducing or eliminating the tendency of prior insertion sheath tips from puckering and creating a gap into which the anchor may reenter. The method of stiffening may take on many different mechanisms, several of which are disclosed.
