Abstract: Methods and devices for wired charging and communication with a wearable device are described. In one embodiment, a symmetrical contact interface comprises a first contact pad and a second contact pad, and particular wired circuitry is coupled to the first and second contact pads to enable charging as well as receive and transmit communications via the contact pads as part of various device states.

Abstract: The present invention provides systems, apparatuses and methods that can manage the distribution of items such as playlists. The present invention also provides for controlling the Digital Rights Management (DRM) of licensed items provided to each remote location without the need for local servers at each remote location. The present invention can also manage the uploading and publishing of items created at a remote location for distribution to other remote locations. Further, the present invention effectively manages creation and presentation of playlists based on the digital access rights of playlist users.
