    Abstract: The present invention concerns a club for impacting an object. The club may have a club head having a club face. At least one microprocessor in communication with a plurality of infrared sources is also provided. There are also a plurality of infrared sensors, and indicators configurable in a configuration indicating proper club face alignment and a configuration indicating club face misalignment. The infrared sources are periodically pulsed by a microprocessor between an activated and deactivated state. The sensors are configured on the club head to receive infrared from the infrared sources and to generate a signal in response to the infrared received. The device may be used outside, even in the presence of sunlight. By filtering direct current, the false readings caused by sunlight may be reduced. Pulsing the infrared sources, e.g., at 2-6 kilohertz, also helps reduce the detrimental effects sunlight has on the operation of the device.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a cost-effective, accurate use of multiple batteries in a battery pack 110. The battery pack 110 consisting a plurality of battery cells 112. A monitoring circuit 117, 217, 317 is provided that monitors the battery cells 112. The monitoring circuit 117, 217, 317 is connected to a microprocessor 119 through an analog-to-digital converter 114. The microprocessor 119 determines the amount of voltage remaining in the battery cells 112. The microprocessor 119 also monitors the voltage output from the battery pack 110. When the voltage being supplied by the battery pack 110 falls below a threshold value, a switching circuit 121, 221, 321 switches depleted battery cells 112 with charged battery cells 112.

    Abstract: A multiple dose infusion controller for controlling the delivery of multiple dosages of an intravenous fluid from a source to a site comprises a compact, portable housing having a slot for removably receiving a segment of a disposable tubing connected to an IV source for transporting an IV fluid to a site, a valve member mounted in the housing for periodically engaging and compressing the tubing for closing the tubing for preventing flow of fluid therethrough, a motor in the housing for driving the valve member upon energization to selected open and closed positions, and controls in the housing for periodically energizing the motor for selectively controlling the flow of the fluid through the tubing in accordance with predetermined delivery times and duration parameters.

    Abstract: A programmable infusion system includes a disposable IV tubing apparatus for conveying intravenous fluid from a source to a patient. A compact, portable case has a receptacle for removably receiving a segment of the disposable apparatus. A peristaltic pump is mounted in the case for engaging the segment of the disposable apparatus and pumping intravenous fluid therethrough. A motor is mounted in the case and is connected for driving the pump upon energization thereof. A bar code reader is mounted in an edge portion of the case for sensing a bar code label attached to the source of intravenous fluid, such as a bag. The bar code label represents the prescribed fluid delivery parameters. These are read and displayed in alphanumeric form by the system when the edge portion of the case containing the bar code reader is passed over the label.
