    Abstract: An electrical terminal having an insulating seal structure is disclosed which terminal is particularly adapted for use in high energy batteries. The fabrication of the seal structure by sealing two metallic members between two annular ceramic members is described. Design considerations are disclosed which enable the seal structure to be simply and inexpensively fabricated and yet withstand adverse environmental and mechanical conditions.
