  • Publication number: 20240367799
Abstract: A system for dynamic seat motion is disclosed. The system includes a seat including a seat controller, actuators for moving physical seat elements, and sensors for monitoring the environment in which the seat operates. The system further includes a motion controller configured to access present positions of the actuators corresponding to a present sitting position of the seat, access future positions of the actuators corresponding to a future sitting position of the seat, receive outputs from the first and second sensors, reconcile the outputs received from the first and second sensors, and cause dynamic motion to be executed by the seat controller to transition the seat from the present sitting position to the future sitting position.

  • Patent number: 11034318
Abstract: In a triggering system for activating a safety device, an acceleration sensor outputs a signal for a time duration in which an acceleration impulse exceeds an acceleration magnitude threshold. A first switching device receives the signal output by the acceleration sensor, and electrically connects a power supply to at least one safety response device for the time duration. A time delay device, upon completion of a delay time after receiving the signal output by the acceleration sensor, outputs a signal for the time duration. A second switching device receives the signal output by the time delay device, and electrically connects the power supply to the at least one safety response device for the time duration. When the time duration exceeds the delay time, the first switching device and the second switching device concurrently electrically connect the safety response device to the power supply, activating the safety response device.

  • Publication number: 20130257419
Abstract: A magnetic encoder system for providing positional feedback from an adjustable surface including first and second intermeshed encoder gears having different numbers of teeth such that the gears rotate different angular amounts depending on a gear tooth ratio, and magnetic encoder chips sensing rotation of the encoder gears and determining an angular relationship of the gears to determine the position of the adjustable surface.

  • Patent number: 4364915
Abstract: A process for the recovery of carbon dioxide from a flue gas stream containing residual oxygen is disclosed. A combustible fuel, such as methane, is admixed with the flue gas stream and the flue gas stream is then passed into a combustion zone in which it may be contacted with a catalyst which promotes the consumption of the residual oxygen in a combustion reaction. Preferably, the heat liberated in the combustion reaction is recovered for use in heating flue gas to combustion supporting conditions and in downstream carbon dioxide recovery steps. The purpose of the combustion reaction is to lower the oxygen content of the flue gas stream, which is then contacted with a lean carbon dioxide absorbing amine solution. The low oxygen content reduces the degradation of the amine solution and the corrosiveness of the amine solution thus allowing the use of high strength amine solutions and very high absorbent liquid loadings.
