    Abstract: A movable shelving system comprising a locking system that automatically activates when a rack is moved a short distance and that allows a user to reset or open the lock at any time. A scissors type element is mounted across adjacent racks and is connected via a slip clutch to a drive rod such that separating the racks causes the rod to rotate displacing a bracket which toggles a locking device.
