  • Patent number: 11621737
Abstract: A system with an acoustic filter array for analog processing of radio signals above 8 GHz includes a receiver and a downconverter to down-convert an incoming signal into an intermediate frequency range (IF). Downconverter includes suppression of local oscillator image. An active manifold splits the IF signal into separate parallel feeds into individual acoustic filter elements in an acoustic filter array. Acoustic filter array provides individually channelized IF outputs. • Patent number: 11387863
Abstract: A system-in-package or multi-chip module architecture that includes a field programmable neural array, that instantiates an instance of a neural network model trained to receive internal observation signals from a digitally controlled integrated circuit, and rapidly generate corresponding system settings to optimize desired characteristics. The system continuously adapts system settings to environmental conditions via a feedback loop of observation signals. • Patent number: 11329375
Abstract: A quadrature fed four-port radiating element is fed by an active quadrature combiner feed network. The active quadrature four-port combiner is ultra-wide band and includes RF signal amplification. The resulting feeder exhibits a size reduction over existing passive balanced/unbalanced technology on the order of five thousand to one. Such antennas may be incorporated into radio frequency integrated circuit transmit/receive modules. Such antennas may also be integrated with front end low noise amplifiers. Such feeder network enables practical implementation of two-port feeders compatible with AESA array lattice restrictions.

  • Patent number: 11316608
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for producing nulls in a wideband jamming signal at specific frequency bands. A nulling signal is determined, either as a modification to one or more of the combined signals, or a separately determined nulling signal generated by combine a separate set of signals. The nulling signal is produced via feedback based on the output of the wideband jamming signal. Alternatively, a trained neural network outputs a nulling signal based on the wideband jamming signal and a desired availability band.

  • Patent number: 11018425
Abstract: A system and method for operating a system including at least one active electronically scanned array (AESA) element incorporates drain voltage amplifier control (DRAVAC) to maintain the power amplifiers of the AESA elements at a constant gain compression level. A processor of the AESA system may dynamically program, monitor, or adjust each individual array element or component thereof. As the RF output power of the power amplifiers varies, constant gain compression is achieved by dynamically adjusting the RF input power and drain voltage to the power amplifiers. An AESA element may incorporate built-in self-test circuitry for detecting faults in the power supply to the power amplifiers as well as calibrating and calculating RF output power for a given input power by controlling the bias of a pass device serving as the amplifier current source.

  • Patent number: 10731959
Abstract: A deployable active radar countermeasure or “smart chaff” device includes a flexible battery or length of reflective material for passive reflection of a surveillance radar signal. Metallized antenna elements printed onto the material receive the surveillance radar signals, and RF integrated circuitry bonded to the material generates active RF echo signals based on the frequency of the surveillance signal and the length of the material. Wirebond receiving paths include reconfigurable gain amplifiers and filters for adjusting the phase and amplitude of the echo signal, and transmit paths return the echo signal to the radar source via the antenna elements. Echo signals may combine with those of other such devices, having various lengths and associated frequencies, to simulate a false return associated with a particular aircraft or moving target (e.g., simulation of Doppler shift via offset echo frequencies).
