  • Patent number: 11321677
Abstract: A standalone electronic passive reminder device allows a user to manually actuate a first switch to cause a display to show a count-up in the form of an elapsed time in days since a routine task was last completed. The user can manually actuate the first switch again when the user subjectively determines that too long of an interval has elapsed, and after the task has been completed again, so that a new count-up and display of elapsed time are initiated. The user can also manually actuate a second switch to selectively show on the display data that informs the user about the length and frequency of the time intervals between multiple task completions.

  • Publication number: 20210068730
Abstract: A blood sample collection and/or storage device includes a medium, such as a membrane or microstructured environment for storing a body fluid sample such as a blood sample. The medium has hydrophobic patterns formed thereon or therein to define precisely dimensioned channels for fluid flow or fluid retention. Break lines in the medium defined predetermined areas (or volumes) of the medium. After sample collection, the medium may be broken apart along the break lines to obtain a precisely measured amount of the fluid sample.

  • Publication number: 20070269824
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for measuring the effects of environmental, physiological, or lifestyle variables on DNA damage and DNA repair activity as well as the use of measurements of DNA damage and DNA repair activity to predict increased risk for disease. Embodiments of the methods involve the use of a combination of assays to measure DNA damage and DNA repair activity in an individual and comparing these measurements to suitable controls using the selected assays for normal healthy individuals of varying ages. In other embodiments, the methods may comprise a comparison of DNA damage levels to DNA repair levels to obtain an apparent net measurement of DNA damage accumulation.
