Abstract: An easy to use combination connectivity, firewall, and web administration programmed hardware invention is presented. The hardware likely uses two accessory boards connected to a host computer or host file server. The auxiliary board is likely an Ethernet board. The main board includes a CPU, flash memory, DRAM, and likely an external power supply. The invention assures that its necessary portions are activated prior to the activation of the host file server or computer. In part, this involves flash memory, the blob boot loader, and the use of a Linux kernel. The software automatically performs connectivity, firewall, and web administration functions. As best envisioned, the configuration of the software is user adjustable. Portions of the invention may be password protected. The password protection may be required before the restricted software portions of the invention may be manually or automatically updated via an Intranet or over the Internet.
