  • Patent number: 5254645
Abstract: Cluster azasilacycloalkyl functional polysiloxanes are prepared by combining vinyl-containing polysiloxane, polyfunctional hydrogen polysiloxane, and a platinum catalyst; reacting the combination to produce .tbd.Si--CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --Si.tbd. linkages and substantial amounts of unreacted Si--H groups remain in the reaction product. The Si--H groups in the reaction product are reacted with aliphatically unsaturated azasilacycloalkane forming the cluster compound. These cluster azasilacycloalkyl functional polysiloxanes cure when exposed to moisture to elastomers, sealants, encapsulants, and resins products.

  • Patent number: 5238988
Abstract: Room temperature vulcanizable silicone sealants containing acetoxy groups are fast curing. These sealants give off only small amounts of volatile materials which are generated during the curing process. These sealants contain crosslinkers and optionally chain extenders having azasilacycloalkane groups cure.

  • Patent number: 5239099
Abstract: Azasilacycloalkyl functional alkoxysilane which are useful for making polymers for room temperature vulcanizable composition and as adhesion promoters are exemplified by 1-(3-(2,2,4-trimethyl-1-aza-2-silacyclopentyl)propyl)-3-(2-trimethoxysilyl ethyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane and 1-(2-(1,2,4-trimethyl-1-aza-2-silacyclopentyl)ethyl)-3-(2-trimethoxysilyle thyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane. The methoxy functional azasilacycloalkyl functional compounds can be made from disiloxanes having a silicon-bonded hydrogen atom such as 1-(3-(2,2,4-trimethyl-1-aza-silacyclopentyl)-propyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldis iloxane.
