    Abstract: An autoignition composition for a gas generant for an airbag or the like. The autoignition comprises a mixture of CuO as the oxidizer in a weight percentage of 45% to 75%, and aminoguanidine nitrate as the fuel in a weight percentage of 25% to 55%. To increase the flame temperature of the mixture, a metal fuel such as magnesium or aluminum can be added.
