Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a profile distinction associated with a computerized transaction between a user and a merchant, provide for determining if the transaction is associated with the user or a third party. Information associated with the transaction is aggregated in a profile corresponding to the user or according to a profile distinction associated with the third party if so determined. A special offer, a promotion, a product offering, a product recommendation, or a product suggestion tailored to the user or the third party is presented using the aggregated information associated with the transaction. If the profile distinction is not already present it is established and, if present, information is aggregated therein.

Abstract: A method is described for determining interest in a work product capable of being distributed over the Internet. A work product sample is presented during a time period at a website. Votes are received from nodes connected to the network. The creation of a work product is initiated based on the result of the vote. A payment commitment is received from the node prior to initiating creation. Alternatively, payment for access from the node is received and access provided to the work product. The work product is delivered when creation is completed.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a persistent usage context is disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, a method of generating a persistent usage context includes monitoring usage of an information handling system and generating a first representation corresponding to a first item of usage and a second representation corresponding to at least one of the first item of usage and a second item of usage. The first representation and second representation are communicated so as to communicate an association of the first representation to the second representation and to enable a determination of at least one of the prior usage and current usage of an information handling system.

A bidding process is established for one or more real-time marketing opportunities associated with the transaction to provide one or more of a peripheral, a promotion, a download, and an offer.
