Abstract: A safety ladder device supported by a worker to secure an extension ladder used by a worker to climb onto a roof to make repairs. The present invention is primarily used for roof repair construction on a parapet roof. The invention includes a wide section and a narrow section, one of which is hammered into a top wall of the parapet roof and extends forward off the roof to retain the extension ladder in a secure manner to prevent the ladder moving side-to-side or falling away.

Abstract: An improved support pad apparatus for distribution of weight loads and enabling the worker greater stability and balanced footing upon an underlying generally level or sloped surface includes a base platform having a top surface and a bottom surface, and one or more cleat members attached to or integrally formed within the top surface, and one or more cross members disposed in spaced relation across and formed integrally within or attached to the top surface. Also provided are riser members detachably connected to and conforming to the shape of the cross members to give additional height and surface area to the sides of the cross members to enable improved and more stable footing for the worker. A resilient pad is attached to the bottom surface for conforming to the contours of the underlying surface and distributing weight loads. A cover platform with reinforcing support rib members is provided for overlaying the base platform to convert the base platform for use on level underlying surfaces.

Abstract: A safety device for a ladder and one or more support platforms disposed upon an underlying roof surface comprising a panel member having a top side, a bottom side, a back edge portion, a first side edge portion, a second side edge portion, and a front U-shaped edge portion with laterally spaced-apart forwardly extending arms for positioning a ladder there between to contain the ladder and prevent its lateral movement beyond the arms. The panel member and the support platform each has the means in cooperating relation to attach the panel member to the support platform in releasable engagement to enable the panel member and the support platform to easily disconnect and reconnect to further enable the adjustment of the positioning of the panel member relative to one or more adjacently or closely placed support platforms situated along or near the edge of said roof surface.

Abstract: A support pad apparatus, including a rigid platform and a load-spreading conformable pad thereunder that conforms to the bottom surface of the platform and may either be flat or concave along its bottom surface to engage the surface of a flat, uneven or sloped roof or some other type of flat, uneven or sloped hard or soft underlying surface, both within and outside of a building, or in any other appropriate setting. The top of the platform contains the structural means to ensure that the person working, standing or walking upon the platform is able to maintain a secure, stable, and balanced footing.
