  • Patent number: 9622626
Abstract: The clip assembly includes a tube that has a top end and a bottom end. A first disk is coupled to the tube. The first disk is positioned proximate the bottom end of the tube. A second disk is removably coupled to the top end of the tube. The roll of paper towels is inserted onto the tube. The roll of paper towels is retained between the first and second disks. A clamp is coupled to the bottom end of the tube. The clamp selectively engages the object. The tube is retained on the object.

  • Patent number: 9182780
Abstract: The present application discloses various implementations of a power management unit (PMU) suitable for use in a mobile device. In one exemplary implementation, such a PMU includes a gain control block configured to control an oscillator coupled to the PMU. The gain control block is further configured to control a clock output stage of the PMU. The PMU also includes a signal protection circuit coupled to an input of the gain control block. The signal protection circuit is configured to preserve clock signals produced by the clock output stage during a transition to a standby mode.

  • Publication number: 20130082764
Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed to combine pad functionality in an integrated circuit. A power, ground, or signal pad is connected to a power, ground, or signal source, respectively. The power, ground, or signal pad is additionally connected to an additional signal source, such as automatic test equipment in a testing environment. By temporarily disconnecting either the power, ground, or signal source, from the functional block within the integrated circuit to which the source is delivered, the same pad may pass in another signal to other portions of the integrated circuit. In the alternative, the same pad may pass in another signal to other portions of the integrated circuit without disconnecting the original signal by coupling the additional signal over the original signal. Further, combining pad functionality enables reuse of an input pad as an output pad for signals originating from within the integrated circuit.

  • Publication number: 20130073877
Abstract: There are disclosed herein various implementations of a power management system for powering a portable device while charging a multi-series-cell battery of the portable device when the portable device is connected to an adapter. One exemplary implementation comprises a voltage regulator for powering the portable device and a multi-mode charger receiving input power from the adapter. The multi-mode charger is operated in a switching mode for charging the multi-series-cell battery concurrently with the voltage regulator powering the portable device. In another implementation, the power management system is adapted for use with a portable device having a single-cell battery.

  • Publication number: 20050024125
Abstract: The highly efficient, high current drive, multi-phase voltage multiplier reduces the inefficiency due to the active level overlapping portion of the clock at high frequencies, reduces the inefficiency due to extremely large drive currents on the inverters supplying current to the multiplying capacitors C1(*) and C2(*), and increases the efficiency of the multiplier by allowing M-1 phases to charge the output at any given time and providing more time given to each capacitor to fully charge and discharge. The ripple on the output is much smaller than in a single dual phase multiplier. This multi-phase voltage multiplier supplies very large current to the load while remaining very efficient.
