  • Publication number: 20070000408
Abstract: Pigment dispersions that when used in printing ink having a relative interfacial tension drop of less than 1.5, and offering an ink viscosity of less than 150 Pa·s, and containing at least 45 wt. % pigment.

  • Publication number: 20060225321
Abstract: An apparatus for displaying cards and papers in the workplace includes a central shaft portion having a pair of ends, with each end including a generally semicircular ring portion adapted to capture the slots of one or more cards. The central shaft portion may be releasably captured in a channel of a universal mount or a single- or double swing arm portion. Removal of the shaft portion from the channel permits the shaft portion to be split open along a break, thereby opening the rings along breaks in the manner of a split-ring binder. Alternatively, the shaft portion may be used alone (without a mount or swing arms) to hold a quantity of cards. The swing arms may be hinged upon a base portion and attached to the chassis or peripheral surface surrounding a computer video monitor, so that the swing arms and shaft portion can swing forward and around to fit the user's viewing preferences. When affixed to a monitor, the semicircular rings facilitate easy installation and flipping of slotted cards and/or papers.

  • Publication number: 20060189726
Abstract: A process for preparing transparent Pigment Yellow 138 by grinding Pigment Yellow 138 in the presence of a grinding agent, preparing an aqueous slurry of the ground particles, and filtering the slurry resulting in a filter cake containing particles of transparent Pigment Yellow 138. In addition, a process for improving color strength of an ink and/or plastic composition is also disclosed by adding transparent Pigment Yellow 138 to the composition.

  • Publication number: 20060046256
Abstract: The present teachings describe methods for selecting informative genetic markers including single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) that may be used in the design and execution of genome wide association studies. These methods are distinguished from other methods relying on a predefined haplotype block structure and may be configured to make use of correlations that occur across neighboring haplotype blocks. The disclosed methods may further be implemented across chromosomal regions having both high and low local linkage disequilibrium. Informative genetic marker selection, as described, provides an alternative and potentially more efficient mechanism to select genetic markers such as SNPs using block-based and random approaches.

  • Publication number: 20050160642
Abstract: An apparatus for displaying procedural information cards in the workplace includes a central shaft portion having a pair of ends, with each end including a generally semicircular ring portion adapted to capture the slots of one or more cards. The central shaft portion may be releasably captured in a channel of a universal mount or swing arm portion. Removal of the shaft portion from the channel permits the shaft portion to be split open along a break, thereby opening the rings along breaks in the manner of a split-ring binder. Alternatively, the shaft portion may be used alone (without a mount or swing arm) to hold a quantity of cards. The swing arm may be hinged upon a base portion and attached to the chassis or peripheral surface surrounding a computer video monitor, so that the swing arm and shaft portion can swing forward and around, toward the middle of the screen. When affixed to a monitor, the semicircular rings facilitate easy installation and flipping of instructional cards.

  • Publication number: 20050160643
Abstract: An apparatus for displaying procedural information cards on a computer video monitor includes a central shaft having an upper end and a lower end, the upper end capped by an upper cross member having an upper planar arm extending in one direction from the shaft, and an upper arcuate arm extending the opposite direction. The lower end is terminated by a lower cross member having a lower planar arm and a lower arcuate arm. The apparatus includes means for affixing the apparatus to a surface on a computer video monitor. The arcuate arms of the apparatus extend outwardly from the monitor to facilitate installation and flipping of the cards. Each of the arcuate arms comprises a generally semi-circular ring, and means for preventing inadvertent removal of the cards from the arcuate arms.
