  • Patent number: 11259577
Abstract: A brace for a part of a body includes a first conductive fiber associated with a first polarity, and a second conductive fiber associated with a second polarity different from the first polarity. The second fiber is woven together with the first fiber and insulated from the first fiber. The brace also includes a selectively electrically activated cross-linking agent between the first and second fibers. The agent is constructed to cross-link in a first active mode when the first and second fibers are electrified and is constructed to not cross-link in a second inactive mode when the first and second fibers are not electrified. The brace surrounds a body part, such as a knee or neck. The agent can include an ER fluid and/or EAP. A brace system includes a selectively electrically activated brace for the part of the body.

  • Publication number: 20220039750
Abstract: As an IV infiltration occurs and fluid leaks into surrounding tissues, several physiological changes are expected locally. The systems and methods described herein provide a scalable automated IV infiltration detection device to provide medical staff an early warning of a possible infiltration such that they can respond accordingly. The systems and methods capture the physiological state of the user at or around a peripheral catheter insertion site by incorporating one or more modalities of wearable sensing, processing the data collected from these wearable sensors, detecting the presence of extravascular fluid, and providing an indication to a medical professional.

  • Publication number: 20220007596
Abstract: A speed-control system for an irrigation system may detect when an actual speed of the irrigation system is faster or slower than a target speed of the irrigation system. In some instances, the speed-control system may detect when the actual speed is faster or slower at discrete virtual points of interest and execute compensatory measures.

  • Publication number: 20220014496
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to, among other things, systems and methods for associating website visitors with a sticky dynamic internet protocol (IP) address. An example method may include identifying one or more first web-based cookies associated with a first IP address or one or more first user agents associated with the first IP address as being received by a web server associated with a website. The example method may also include determining a density measurement for the first IP address, the density measurement being a maximum number of the one or more first web-based cookies or the one or more first user agents that are identified as being received at the web server at a single time. The example method may also include determining that the density measurement is less than or equal to a threshold value. The example method may also include determining, based on the density measurement being less than or equal to the threshold value, that the first IP address is a first sticky dynamic IP address.

  • Publication number: 20210336940
Abstract: Systems for dynamically detecting and controlling unauthorized events are presented. In some examples, data may be received from one or more computing systems. In some examples, the computing systems may each be associated with an enterprise unit within an enterprise organization. The data may include, in some examples, processed unauthorized activity event data, such as account takeover event data. The data received may be aggregated and analyzed (e.g., using machine learning) to identify potential threats and threat outputs. In some examples, the threat output may include a user interface indicating the threat or potential threat, systems or applications potentially impacted, enterprise units impacted, and the like. Based on the threat output, one or more mitigation actions may be identified and executed. The mitigation actions may include modifying operation of one or more systems, modifying authentication requirements, and the like.

  • Patent number: 11115950
Abstract: A system can include an object having a communication device, where the communication device of the object broadcasts a first signal from a first location within a volume of space at a first time. The system can also include a first electrical device and a second electrical device that receives the first signal in the volume of space. The system can also include a controller communicably coupled to the first electrical device and the second electrical device, where the controller determines a first strength of the first signal received by the first receiver, determines a second strength of the first signal received by the second receiver, scales the first signal relative to the second signal based on the first strength and the second strength, and determines a location of the object in the volume of space based on scaling the first signal relative to the second signal.

  • Publication number: 20210006064
Abstract: A surge monitoring circuit for detecting transient spikes in an input voltage includes a voltage divider circuit that generates a divider output voltage from the input voltage, a reference voltage generator circuit that generates reference voltages, and a comparator circuit that generates comparator signals by comparing the divider output voltage to the reference voltages. The surge monitoring circuit further includes a processor configured to predict, at least based on the comparator signals, an expected failure of a surge suppressor circuit that suppresses the transient spikes, where the comparator signals indicate detections of divider output transient spikes in the divider output voltage. The divider output transient spikes correspond to transient spikes in the input voltage, where the divider output transient spikes have a higher voltage than the one or more reference voltages.
