Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining the height of a plurality of buildings in a region is described, the method comprising: retrieving a map of building locations in the region; retrieving a plurality of sensor data records from a plurality of mobile network devices, wherein each sensor data record comprises horizontal coordinate data and elevation data; processing the plurality of sensor data records and the map of building locations to generate a map set of building heights.
