  • Patent number: 4120183
Abstract: A lock assembly having a lock housing which is secured to a first member such as a lid or door of a locker or other container. The lock housing includes a bar lock accessible at a first end portion, a second end portion, a continuous top portion and a continuous first side portion. The bottom portion is provided with an opening into which a strike may be introduced for engagement by the bar lock and the lock housing covers and conceals the strike. The strike is adjustably and releasably secured to the locker so that the mutual positional relation between the strike and the lock housing may be altered.

  • Patent number: 4023386
Abstract: A cover lock assembly for maintaining a hatch cover securely mounted to a rigid frame including a guard member which passes over at least a portion of the cover and is insertable in a securement device which is mounted to the rigid frame external to but near one end of the hatch cover. A lock housing is releasably attached to an upper surface of the guard member and is movable to a first position covering the securement device. A bar lock mechanism insertable through the lock housing is partially removable in order to permit movement of the lock housing to a second position exposing the securement device which may then be released.

  • Patent number: 4022037
Abstract: A shield lock assembly for shielding securing members engaging a rigid frame. The lock assembly includes a shield member which is secured to a rigid frame through a fastener. The shield member further passes over and covers at least one of the securing members. A lock housing is movably mounted to the shield member and is displaceable to a first locking position which covers the fastener to prevent disengagement of the fastener from the rigid frame. The lock housing is movable to a second unlocking position which exposes the fastener and allows disengagement of the fastener from the rigid frame to permit removal of the shield member thus exposing the covered securing members.

  • Patent number: 3940957
Abstract: A bar lock assembly secured to opposing door members for constraining the door members each to the other. The bar lock assemblies include a pair of strike plates utilizing the tooth in groove mating concept which have lug members interfacing with each other. A locking mechanism is inserted through bores formed in each of the lug members to secure the strike plates to each other. In one bar lock assembly modification each strike plate includes a tooth member insertable into one of a set of rectangular channels formed in a portion of the periphery of an opposing strike plate lug member. The channels are formed within three surfaces of each lug member to permit the strike plates to be mated in a substantially co-planar manner or perpendicular to each other.
