  • Patent number: 7444131
Abstract: A system and method is provided for surveilling call terminations to a roaming mobile in a wireless telecommunications network in which Location Request Queries (LRQs) for the target mobile can be sent from any MSC in the network. The system and method include forcing the path of the target mobile's call terminations through a predetermined Target Intercept Access Point (TIAP) for surveillance while meeting CALEA constraints including the requirement that information about surveillance may not be shared over public interfaces.

  • Publication number: 20080209564
Abstract: A method of preventing a customer programmable device from causing security threats to itself or to a communication system is provided. The method includes establishing one or more thresholds by programming or configuring of the device, detecting whether one or more of the thresholds have been exceeded using one or more detection mechanisms, and taking action in response to each threshold that has been exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20080152112
Abstract: A method of processing a call by proxy in a network is provided. The method comprises: receiving a request from a first party for a proxy call on behalf of a second party at a first call control entity, whether or not an active call exists between the first and second parties; signaling the proxy call through the network; and establishing the proxy call to an appropriate destination, such as an emergency call center near the second party.

  • Publication number: 20080084980
Abstract: A system and method of call delivery from an Originating End to a Terminating End in a telecommunications network is provided in which the Calling Party can direct the call to be forwarded directly to the Called Party's Call Forwarding Destination. An Originator Initiated Direct To Call Forwarding Destination indicator is associated with the call and sent from the Originating End of the telecommunications network to the Terminating End for notifying the Terminating End that the call is to be sent directly to the Called Party's Call Forwarding Destination.

  • Patent number: 7346343
Abstract: A method and system for providing an anonymous call redirection service for wireless service subscribers by implementing service logic within the wireless network to intercept incoming calls for which no calling name or number is available and redirect the calls to an intelligent peripheral device for further processing. In one embodiment, anonymous calls are directed to an intelligent peripheral such as a network-based recording device, which records the caller's name and then repeats or plays this name to the called party, before the call is connected to allow the called party to accept or reject the call.

  • Patent number: 7154999
Abstract: An apparatus in one example comprises one or more information sender components that upon engagement of a communication device with a communication session that involves a plurality of communication devices, send to one or more information receiver components identification information of two or more communication devices of the plurality of communication devices and the communication device.

  • Patent number: 7130619
Abstract: Conditional reconnection of a suspended call occurs responsive to a mobile unit (108) sending a mobile-originated reconnect (MORC) message into the network (102). Reconnection does not occur not if the mobile unit does not send a MORC message or affirmatively declines reconnection within a designated waiting period.

  • Patent number: 7107054
Abstract: Reconnection of a mobile unit to a call session controlled by a first MSC is supported responsive to a network-initiated or mobile-originated reconnect attempt even in instances where the mobile unit has roamed to a border cell controlled by a second MSC. In a network-initiated reconnect attempt, the first MSC sends a suspended call page request to a second MSC. The second MSC pages the mobile unit, sets up a bearer channel to the mobile unit, and sends to the first MSC a suspended call page response including indicia of the bearer channel set up by the second MSC. The first MSC establishes a bearer channel to the second MSC thereby reconnecting the mobile unit to the call session. In a mobile-originated reconnect attempt, the mobile unit sends a mobile-originated reconnect message to the second MSC.

  • Patent number: 7107047
Abstract: An apparatus in one example comprises an originating mobile switching center and a serving mobile switching center that serve to connect a call from a communication device to a mobile device that is supported by the serving mobile switching center. The mobile device is associated with an established telephone number. The serving mobile switching center is associated with an identification number. The originating mobile switching center employs the identification number to connect the call with the serving mobile switching center. The serving mobile switching center employs the established telephone number to connect the call to the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 7033449
Abstract: An explosive composition having a main explosive and an additive, such as 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The explosive composition is resistant to slow cook-off. The main explosive includes Composition B or a Composition B replacement. The 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine is present in the explosive composition at less than or equal to approximately 5% by weight. An insensitive munition resistant to slow cook-off is also disclosed, as is a method of forming the explosive composition having a main explosive and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine and a method of mitigating slow cook-off violence.
