In certain embodiments, a method may comprise operating a data analytics system to implement a contextual data visualization recommendation process configured to generate proposed data visualizations contextually relevant to a user. The method may include evaluating columns of a dataset for contextual relevance, including scoring the columns based on a canvas disposition scoring factor corresponding to which of the columns appear most frequently in a canvas of previously generated visualizations of the user, and scoring the columns based on a user reactions scoring factor corresponding to user action event data reflecting approval of visualizations and associated columns.

    Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for providing a chat-to-visualization user interface for use with a data analytics workbook assistant. A data analytics system or environment can be integrated with a digital assistant system or environment which provides natural language processing, for purposes of leveraging a user's text or speech input while generating, modifying, or interacting with data visualizations. The user can interact with the system using a chat-like conversation. Based upon a received input from the user as part of the conversation, the system can generate data comprising a resolved intent and entities, and locate an appropriate dataset. The system supports complex follow-up interactions or questions that pertain to previous responses combined with the curated data. The user can use modifiers to further enhance their questioning or analysis of the data, and incorporate resulting insights into their visualization project.

    Abstract: Example embodiments include software for selectively combining outputs for multiple machine learning modules, so as to generate composite values. The composite values may provide more accurate metrics, e.g., composite scores, that may be used to more reliably predict/estimate, for instance, the likelihood of a given lead converting into a customer within a predetermine time interval. In certain embodiments, a math model selectively combines the scores, and the parameters thereof can be selectively adjusted in real time, based on real time data; so as to maintain accuracy of the composite scores. This can lead to enhanced situational awareness, which can be particularly important for enterprise sales representatives, account managers, and so on.
