  • Patent number: 10154018
Abstract: A method for facilitating network joining is disclosed, wherein, while a communication session is active between a network gateway and an NFC device comprised in or connected to a networkable device, the following steps are performed: the network gateway obtains a first cryptographic key associated with the networkable device; the network gateway encrypts, using said first cryptographic key, a network key associated with a network; the network gateway provides the encrypted network key to the networkable device, such that the networkable device may decrypt the encrypted network key using a second cryptographic key. Furthermore, a corresponding computer program product and a corresponding system for facilitating network joining are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9762295
Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention a system for commissioning devices is provided, which system comprises: a first device and a second device; an RFID tag comprised in the first device; a host processor comprised in the first device; wherein the second device is arranged to generate an electromagnetic field; wherein the RFID tag is arranged to detect the electromagnetic field and to wake up the host processor upon detecting said electromagnetic field in order for the second device to communicate with the host processor. Furthermore, a corresponding method for commissioning devices is provided. Since the RFID tag comprised in the first device is arranged to wake up the host processor, an end-user does not have to switch on the first device manually. Therefore, the user interaction is simplified. Furthermore, there is no need for a separate power button on the first device. The latter reduces cost and simplifies the design of the first device.

  • Patent number: 9544870
Abstract: There is provided a network node for use in a wireless sensor network, said network node being arranged to determine communication activities of the network node in different spatial directions extending from the network node, and said network node comprising at least one visual indicator being arranged to provide a visual indication of said communication activities. A wireless sensor network comprising such a network node is also disclosed, as is a method facilitating positioning a network node in a sensor network.

  • Patent number: 9236914
Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention, an NFC device for communicating with an NFC reader is conceived, the NFC device comprising an NFC integrated circuit, an antenna unit connected to said NFC integrated circuit, and a detuning circuit, wherein the detuning circuit is arranged to cause a periodic detuning of the antenna unit to a detuned state, such that data transmission between the NFC device and the NFC reader may take place periodically while the NFC device and the NFC reader remain within communication range of each other.
