Abstract: In one embodiment, a method comprises, by a computer system, receiving a search term, determining a search constraint for a search query, and generating a search query. The search query includes the search term and the search constraint. The search query requires that at least a first number of search results that are returned in response to the search query match both the search term and the search constraint. The search query permits at least a second number of the search results to match only the search term. The computer system provides the search query for a search against a store of data.

Abstract: Disclosed is a computer implemented marketing communication management system and method enabling a point of sale provider who offers goods and/or services for sale and who maintains a customer information database, to use a marketing management software application provided by a software provider to create, schedule delivery and analyze targeted electronic marketing communications via one or more selected electronic communication methods to all or selected subsets of the provider's subscribed customers. A non-limiting example system is specifically discussed and illustrated as adapted for use in a tanning or beauty salon business offering indoor tanning services to customers using ultraviolet or sunless tanning equipment and offering for sale to customers associated tanning products such as skin care preparations and eye protection products.

Abstract: Cementitious compositions and processes for preparing and using the cementitious compositions are provided. The cementitious compositions are characterized by the property of a reduced or an attenuated water vapor emission from a cementitious mix and a concrete formed therefrom. Certain cementitious compositions are characterized by the property of accelerated drying while still maintaining good workability. Methods of improving water retention and surface drying of concrete, including lightweight concrete are provided. A water soluble ionic salt may be used to sequester water within the pores and capillaries of the cement paste and/or porous lightweight aggregate. In some examples, the salt may be added directly to concrete or aggregates may be infused with a water-salt solution to provide treated porous aggregates having improved water saturation and water retention.

Abstract: The invention is an improved ice handling container and methods for using the container. The container includes a bottom wall with upstanding sidewalls terminating in a mouth. A bail having an apex and opposing ends is pivotally attached to opposing sidewalls of the container. The bail has a handle generally at the apex and a hook extending generally outwardly from the bail generally near the apex of the bail for hanging the container with the mouth facing generally upward. One sidewall has a handle generally adjacent the bottom wall and a hook generally adjacent the handle extending generally outwardly and upwardly from the sidewall for hanging the container with the mouth facing generally downward.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method performed by one or more computing devices comprises storing, for one or more marketplace associated applications, interaction information that identifies, for each particular application of said one or more marketplace associated applications, a list of devices that interacted with an instance of the particular application; receiving, from a requesting device, a request for a list of offer eligible applications; determining, based on said interaction information, a set of applications associated with the requesting device; based on said determination of the set of applications associated with the requesting device, sending a list of one or more selected eligible applications to the requesting device.

Abstract: An actuator assembly for use with a transmission drive system having a pair of transaxles where each transaxle includes an electric motor and a brake release pin extending from a brake housing, where the release pins are both moveable from a first, engaged position to a second, released position. The actuator assembly includes a support bracket fastened to each transaxle, a sleeve attached to the support bracket and arranged generally parallel to the axes of the first and second release pins, a rod moveably disposed within the sleeve and extending from each end thereof, a pair of levers engaged to the two release pins and to the rod, a fulcrum attached to the support bracket, and an actuator arm engaged to the rod and pivotable about the fulcrum to longitudinally move the rod within the sleeve, wherein the actuator arm is moveable.

Abstract: Disclosed are compositions and methods for treating cardiovascular disease and reducing the adverse effects induced by the administration of statins. In particular, disclosed is the use of antisense compounds to augment the expression of mirR-33 and associated genetic elements. In particular methods of the treatment of cardiovascular disease and the modulation of miR-33 levels is disclosed as well as treatment of the secondary effects including cholestasis, induced by the administration of statins is disclosed. Also disclosed is the treatment of Benign Recurrent Intrahepatic Cholestasis and reverse cholesterol transport. The disclosed methods and compositions may be practiced separately or co-administered with satins to reduce or treat statin induced secondary effects.

Abstract: A data acquisition and processing system and method includes one or more distributed and expandable data acquisition nodes for processing large amounts of data. Each data acquisition node includes a core group of primary boards electronically connected together via a vertical bus capable of providing intra-node communication between the primary boards. A secondary board horizontally connected in association with the primary board via a horizontal bus provides inter-node communication or instrumentation interfaces to sensors or other application specific instruments. A master control unit associated with a graphical user interface communicates with the data acquisition nodes via a communication protocol to permit high speed exchange of information and to display information reported from the acquisition system. A storage controller associated with a node controller controls storage of data associated with the data acquisition nodes on a database in a remote location.
