Abstract: An indication that indicates an occurrence of an error in a local computing system is received. A first-tier search comprising searching a local data store corresponding to the local computing system in an effort to determine a cause of the error is executed. In response to determining that the first-tier search is unable to determine the cause of the error, a second-tier search of a global data store is executed, wherein the second-tier search comprises searching for the error in one or more computer systems that are configured similarly to the local computing system. In response to determining that the second-tier search is unable to determine the cause of the error, a third-tier search of the global data store is executed, wherein the third-tier search comprises searching for the error in additional one or more computer systems that are not similarly configured to the local computing system.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method (CIM), according to one embodiment, includes performing a reorganization analysis for mitigating latency during reorganization of a data set. The reorganization analysis includes using regression analysis to predict a time duration that reorganization of the data set will take based on a total size of the data set, relating the predicted time duration to a previous data set reorganization time duration, and performing linear extrapolation to estimate a time at which the total size of the data set will exceed a predetermined percentage of a maximum size of the data set. The method further includes reorganizing the data set before the estimated time, where the data set is reorganized at a time determined based on the reorganization analysis or derivative thereof.

Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for providing diagnostic services to a client system over a network. A program is transmitted to a client program at the client system including a command to retrieve a block of data. The client program is executed to retrieve the block of data indicated in the command and display data in the block of data in a client user interface at the client system. The client program transmits the data displayed in the client user interface to the diagnostic system in response to user indication to transmit the data displayed in the client user interface. The data received from the client program is rendered in the client user interface. The received data is processed to determine a next operation in a diagnostic workflow program with respect to the client system.
