  • Publication number: 20230397753
Abstract: A capsule holder for a beverage dispensing apparatus includes: a base having a lower wall defining an open chamber configured to receive a beverage capsule; an extractor extending from the lower wall into the chamber and configured to pierce the beverage capsule; a carriage having a ledge configured to engage with a perimeter flange of the capsule, the carriage movably coupled to the base between (i) a lowered position to place the capsule at a first depth in the chamber for piercing of the capsule by the extractor ; and (ii) a raised position to place the capsule at a second depth smaller than the first depth, and substantially withdraw the extractor from the capsule; and a biasing element configured to bias the carriage toward the raised position.

  • Publication number: 20140041474
Abstract: A yaw drive assembly for a wind turbine has a releasable and re-engageable coupling operably configured between a drive gear that engages with a yaw bearing and the output of a gear assembly that is coupled to a drive motor. The coupling maintains a rotational drive engagement between the gear assembly output and drive gear up to a defined rotational torque, wherein the coupling disengages the gear assembly output from the drive gear. The coupling re-engages the gear assembly output to the drive gear upon the rotational torque decreasing to below the defined rotational torque.

  • Patent number: 8287238
Abstract: A method for repairing a hub pitch gear assembly. The method includes providing a ring assembly for adjusting a pitch angle of a wind turbine blade having a plurality of gear teeth. A segment of the ring assembly is removed, the segment including at least a portion of at least one gear tooth, to form a repair cavity. A repair segment configured to mate the repair cavity is provided and the repair segment is directed into the repair cavity and fastened in position. A repaired pitch gear assembly and wind turbine are also provided.
