    Abstract: An example method presents a system for configuring and applying a document-generation tool to automatically generate documents. The system may perform operations including providing, for presentation by a display device, a graphical user interface including user-configurable elements for configuring a document-generation tool and a preview region; determining form elements that define attributes of the document generation tool; and generate a graphical form preview of the document-generation tool based on the first form element. In some implementations, the system may determine rules of the document-generation tool, which may define a condition and an executable action that affect the display of the graphical form preview using the form elements and may update the graphical form preview on the graphical user interface based on the rules.
