Abstract: This application deals with protective gear for helmets and other protective gear using preconstructed pods. The pods are comprised of a soft, pliable housing that contains a pad on a bottom of the housing and a pad on top inside surface of the housing with a holder or support between the two pads. There are a number of predetermined through openings in the support or holder that contain a spring or in some devices, two springs, one inside the other.

The first component is a slidable helmet shaft, and the second component is a vest with an elongated receiver for the first component. The control device lessens impact to the head in the event of a collision yet is flexible enough to allow use in an organized sport such as football.

The electronic device canopy is comprised of a collapsible frame that includes a plurality of legs and cross members, and a canopy fabric that is supported by the collapsible frame. The canopy fabric is comprised of a weather resistant, waterproof and UV protective material or coating. At least one side of the canopy fabric may be rolled up and secured to a top surface to provide the user with access to the interior space of the canopy and the electronic device stored therein. A carrying case may also be included to store and carry the electronic device canopy when not in use.
