  • Patent number: 11957340
Abstract: A surgical stapler includes a first stapler half including an anvil surface having a plurality of staple forming pockets, and a second stapler half configured to releasably couple with the first stapler half. The second stapler half is operable to deploy staples toward the anvil surface. The stapler also includes a projection positioned on one of the stapler halves and extending laterally relative to a longitudinal axis of the stapler. The stapler halves are configured to pivot relative to each other about the projection. The stapler further includes a locking member positioned on the other of the stapler halves. The locking member is configured to translate along the longitudinal axis of the stapler between a locked state in which the locking member selectively captures the projection and an unlocked state in which the locking member selectively releases the projection. The locking member is biased proximally toward the locked state.

  • Patent number: 11954669
Abstract: Authentication method and systems using RFID-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives a request corresponding to authorization of a payment associated with a payment card from an electronic terminal. The server identifies an electronic device of a user associated with the payment card. The server then transmits an instruction to the electronic device to cause an RFID reader of the electronic device to determine whether an RFID tag corresponding to the payment card is located within a predetermined proximity to the electronic device. When the payment card is located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a first authentication protocol. Moreover, when the payment card is not located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a second authentication protocol, wherein the second authentication protocol is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

  • Patent number: 10523591
Abstract: Examples of the disclosure enable an availability of a resource to be discovered across regions. In some examples, a template is received from a client device. The template includes a plurality of parameters associated with a plurality of products. Based on a client location associated with the client device, a resource is identified, and, based on a first parameter, it is determined whether the identified resource is associated with the product. In response to determining that the resource is associated with the product, a feature associated with the resource is identified, and it is determined whether the identified feature satisfies the first parameter. In response to determining that the feature satisfies the first parameter, data associated with the resource is transmitted to the client device for presentation to a user. Aspects of the disclosure enable a computing device to manage one or more resources.

  • Publication number: 20130005352
Abstract: Methods are provided for verifying whether a mobile device is at a site. An exemplary method involves obtaining a location of the mobile device from the mobile device and obtaining a captured value for a machine-readable code from one of the mobile device and the site, the machine-readable code being presented by the other of the mobile device and the site. When the captured value is equal to a reference value for the code, the mobile device is verified as being at the site when the location of the mobile device corresponds to a location associated with the site.
