  • Patent number: 12359972
Abstract: Methods, systems and devices are described that enable measurement and characterization of complex laser pulses by relying on three interferograms that are measured simultaneously. The described three-phase spectral interferometry (3PSI) can meet the growing demand for optical recorders with long record and 1 ps or finer resolution. An example three-phase interferometric system includes a three-output optical splitter with a first input port to receive the input optical signal, a second input port to receive a reference optical signal with one or more unknown spectral characteristics. The three output ports of the optical splitter produce interferograms that correspond to relative phase shifts of substantially 120 degrees. Detectors are positioned to receive and measure the interferograms, which allows determination of the amplitude and phase of the input optical signal with very high accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20250026301
Abstract: An inflation device that draws air in from two sources, such as air compressor and ambient air, can inflate an object (e.g., air bag). When a valve is opened, airflow from the air compressor is provided from the inflation device to the object. The airflow may cause airflow from an additional source (e.g., ambient air) into the inflation device. Additionally, a button used to control the valve is also used to initiate power to an assembly that includes pressure sensor (used to measure pressure of the airflow) and a display (used to present the current pressure as measured by the pressure sensor). The inflation device can automatically power down at a predetermined time after the button is released.

  • Publication number: 20240268056
Abstract: Techniques for providing auxiliary power to a datacenter, which is normally serviced by a power utility, are disclosed. The system includes a controller, a first stamp, and a second stamp. A common DC bus couples the first stamp to the second stamp on a DC side. A common AC bus couples the first stamp to the second stamp on an AC side (e.g., the output of the stamps). An AC breaker is disposed on the AC bus between the first stamp and the second stamp. The controller controls whether the AC breaker is open or closed. A default state of the AC breaker is an open state. The control of the breakers can occur for various reasons, including whether the utility is available or whether the utility is not available. The utility might not be available due to a utility failure or due to other reasons.
