  • Publication number: 20260077815
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle crash structure including a longitudinal energy absorption member and a load bearing element. The load bearing element includes a first and second end and a first and second load bearing arm. Each of the load bearing arms extend between the first and second ends of the load bearing element. The first end of the load bearing element is attached to one end of the longitudinal energy absorption member. The second end of the load bearing element is attached to a cross member of a vehicle body structure located between a bulkhead panel of the vehicle body structure and the longitudinal energy absorption member. The longitudinal energy absorption member and the load bearing element define a load path for a longitudinal load during a crash. The first and second load bearing arms define a first and second diverging portion of the load path, respectively.

  • Patent number: 10673179
Abstract: A smart breakaway electrical connector disconnects a powerline at a designed tensile load, detects the break, and wirelessly communicates the precise location of the break to repair dispatchers. Mating male and female housings hold the internal electrical connection points together. Locking arms pivotally connected to the female connector interlock by detent with the male connector and spring force on the locking arms is used to prevent disengagement of the detent until the design tensile force is exceeded. Photovoltaics combined with rechargeable batteries ensure power availability when the line is disconnected and utility power is unavailable.

  • Publication number: 20160029100
Abstract: A multidimensional sound system coordinates the playback of audio streams on a device that outputs more than one video stream simultaneously. The system provides a method for splitting and directing sound so that multiple users viewing multiple content streams on a single device can hear audio relevant to the video content they wish to view. The system also provides methods directed to allowing users to share audio relevant to their respective video streams with other users on the same device, and allows users to reject such sharing requests.

  • Publication number: 20150332525
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for tracking, organizing, and displaying the parking behavior of a vehicle. In one aspect the invention can be an apparatus for tracking parking behavior of a vehicle comprising: a device comprising a processor, a movement detector for detecting whether the vehicle is in a parked state or a non-parked state, a location identifier for identifying a geographic location of the vehicle, and a transceiver operably coupled together; and wherein for each occurrence in which the movement detector detects that the vehicle has entered into the parked state, the processor is configured to: (1) measure a duration that the vehicle remains in the parked state; and (2) upon the duration exceeding a predetermined minimum time threshold without the vehicle transitioning into the non-parked state, store parking information data relating to the occurrence as a parking instance.

  • Publication number: 20070198705
Abstract: A method for integrating a resource in a network includes receiving at a first adapter a command associated with a function to be performed by a resource. The method also includes receiving a first script associated with the command, and interpreting the first script to produce one or more first byte codes. The method further includes causing a second adapter to receive a second script. The second adapter is operable to interpret the second script into one or more second byte codes. In addition, the method includes executing the one or more first byte codes, and invoking execution of the one or more second byte codes at the second adapter. The execution of the byte codes at the first and second adapters is operable to invoke the function in and facilitate communication with the resource.
