  • Patent number: 11980748
Abstract: A cartridge and loading system for loading tamper-evident syringe caps into a robotic pharmaceutical compounding device. The compounding device has a syringe finishing station, and can transfer tamper-evident caps from the cartridge to the syringe finishing station. The cartridge has a floor disposed at an angle to horizontal. The device may include a vibratory element for vibrating the cartridge, so that tamper-evident caps are fed to an outlet of the cartridge by gravity.

  • Patent number: 11904249
Abstract: A portable, folding dog agility teeter is disclosed. The teeter has two boards which are connected by a hinge. A pair of legs are also hinged. Each board can be reversibly fixed in relation to the hinge so the longitudinal axis of each board is parallel to the other. A fulcrum is formed where the legs attach to the hinge. One of the boards is heavier than the other so the heavier board is touching the ground when no additional load is on the other board. As a dog crosses from one board to the other, the teeter moves so the lighter board touches the ground. When the dog leaves the teeter the heavier board moves to touch the ground, thereby resetting the teeter for repeated use.

  • Publication number: 20230231792
Abstract: A method and system for routing packets in a telecommunications network includes inserting, onto a network packet at a first router, tap instructions for sending a copy of the network packet to a packet analysis resource to form a packet with tap information. A copy of the packet with tap information is received at a transit router. The transit router reads the tap instructions and causes a copy of the network packet to be sent to the packet analysis resource. The network packet is then sent to a destination within a telecommunications network.

  • Patent number: 11618098
Abstract: A method of forming a stamped part includes forming a tailor welded blank by friction stir welding (FSW) a first blank to a second blank, removing a FSW start spot and a FSW stop spot from the tailor welded blank using a machining process such that a finished tailor welded blank is formed and stamping the finished tailor welded blank into the stamped part such that a weld formed by FSW the first blank to the second blank is plastically deformed. The first blank and the second blank can be aluminum alloy blanks and a predetermined amount of material is machined from the FSW start spot and the FSW stop spot, the predetermined amount of material being equal to or greater than a thickness of the first blank and the second blank.

  • Publication number: 20220176011
Abstract: A composition comprising a wound-closure material physically or chemically associated with an agent that reduces scarring and improves the integrity of skin and underlying tissue in a mammalian subject. Methods for reducing or eliminating scarring or improving mammalian skin integrity comprise closing a wound with a composition, such as a suture material associated with a PHD inhibitor molecule, e.g., 1,4-DPCA.

  • Patent number: 10390520
Abstract: A bird feeder cable lid lock is provided for a bird feeder having a feed reservoir body with a removable lid having an aperture therein, and a wire or cable threaded through the aperture by which the feeder is suspended in use. The cable lid lock includes a threaded bolt having an axial hole through which the hanging cable is fed and an internally threaded base element in abutment with the lid and having a stepped or tapered bore with a diminishing diameter that receives the bolt. The bolt has a relief cut in the shank to form at least two arms on different sides of the cable. The arms are pressed toward one another as the bolt is tightened into the diminishing diameter base element bore, squeezing the cable where it extends through the bolt and exerting a significant force normal to the cable that, with the coefficient of friction, creates a very effective locking action on the cable to secure the lid against the feed reservoir body.

  • Patent number: 10210679
Abstract: A method for automatic mileage tracking using a mobile device may include establishing a wireless connection between the mobile device and a vehicle, and executing mileage tracking to determine a total mileage for a current trip. The method may also include defining a trip type for the current trip based on (i) a time period in which the current trip occurs and (ii) a user-specific set of trip categorization rules that specifies one or more time periods designated for one or more respective trip types. The method may further include displaying the total mileage for the current trip to the user along with an indication of the trip type defined for the current trip, and/or submitting via a network, for storage in a database, the total mileage and the indication of the trip type.

  • Patent number: 9576407
Abstract: A system and method allows a user to connect a mobile device, such as a smartphone, to a vehicle in order to track and record driving mileages incurred for a trip. Once a connection is established, the system and method may automatically begin mileage tracking. Upon termination of the connection, the system and method may sum up the tracked mileages to calculate a total mileage for the trip. The system and method may then display the total mileage for the trip to the user.

  • Publication number: 20100300486
Abstract: A method for removal of wax deposited on an inner wall in contact with a fluid stream. The method includes the steps of cooling the inner wall and the fluid stream to a temperature of or below the wax appearance temperature, enabling wax to dissolve and precipitate on the inner wall, and heating of the inner wall for a short period of time to release the deposited wax from the surface of the inner wall, mainly in the form of solid parts. The thickness of wax deposits in a pipe section can be determined by computing the temperatures obtained upstream and downstream in the said pipe section, before and after applying heat pulse.
