Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods of constructing a library of target polynucleotides. The present invention finds use in a variety of genomic research and diagnostic applications, including medical, agricultural, food and biodefense fields. Polynucleotides of interest may represent biomarkers of infection (e.g., viral and bacterial), or diseases such as cancer, genetic disorders, and metabolic disorders.

Abstract: A dual function beverage container and mixing apparatus is disclosed that can be assembled in a various configurations suitable for various functions in storing, transporting, dispensing, mixing and drinking beverages, such as, for example, mixed alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. The dual function beverage container and mixing apparatus can have a container portion, an intermediate portion and a top portion. In a first configuration, the container portion, intermediate portion and top portion can be assembled to form a selectively re-sealable container, suitable to storing, transporting and/or dispensing a beverage. In a second configuration, the top portion and intermediate portion can be re-assembled to form a beverage shaker for mixing a beverage, such as, for example, a mixed alcoholic cocktail consisting of two or more ingredients.
