    Abstract: A modeling system determines a physical location of a device in a store and a virtual location in a virtual model of a store that corresponds to the physical location. The modeling system determines, from the virtual model, a subset of model data based on the virtual location. The model data comprises store location data applicable to the entire store, shelf data applicable to shelves in the store, and planogram data applicable to the shelves and products associated with the shelves. The subset of model data comprises the store location data, a subset of the shelf data applicable to at least a shelf within a predefined distance of the physical location of the device, and a subset of the planogram data applicable to at least the shelf and a product associated with the shelf. The modeling system generates a presentation of a scene based on the subset of model data.

The modeling system presents, at a user interface, the 3D virtual object in the 3D virtual reset at a first position. The modeling system receives, via the user interface, an edit to the 3D virtual object in the 3D virtual reset. The modeling system updates the presentation of the 3D virtual reset by showing the edit. The modeling system stores the 3D virtual reset by including, in the 3D virtual reset, information about the 3D virtual object and information about the edit.

    Abstract: A modeling system receives, via a user interface of a device, a selection of a three-dimensional shape that includes a plurality of faces. The modeling system generates a virtual object by: receiving an image showing a portion of a real-world object, determining an area of the image that corresponds to the portion of the real-world object, associating, in the virtual object, the area of the image with a face of the plurality of faces of the three-dimensional shape, and associating, in the virtual object or in metadata of the virtual object, properties of the three-dimensional shape with the virtual object. The virtual modeling system presents the virtual object in the user interface by at least showing the area of the image superimposed on the face and showing the properties.
