  • Patent number: 12370601
Abstract: A method may apply an ink layer in a desired pattern onto a substrate with a substrate coefficient of thermal expansion. A method may heat the ink layer and the substrate at a temperature increase ramp rate to a predefined target temperature for the ink layer, to obtain a metallic layer in substantially the desired pattern and with a metallic coefficient of thermal expansion. A method may cool the metallic layer and the substrate at a temperature decrease ramp rate, wherein a difference between the substrate coefficient of thermal expansion and the metallic coefficient of thermal expansion, in combination with the temperature increase ramp rate and the temperature decrease ramp rate, operates to completely delaminate the metallic layer from the substrate, thereby producing the patterned metallic foil.

  • Publication number: 20250224765
Abstract: A clamshell-style laptop case with a foldable shade assembly that, when expanded, shades and protects a laptop that's placed within the opened case. A shade assembly, positioned within the interior of the clamshell case, includes a visor panel, side panels, a rear panel, and lower panel. When the case is opened, the shade assembly can be expanded from its collapsed position by lifting the visor panel upward as it rotates along a hinge connecting it to the rear panel, while the side panels simultaneously expand from a folded position. The side panels remain permanently attached to the shade assembly, reducing the steps required to expand and collapse the shade assembly. The shade assembly may incorporate a friction hinge connecting the shade assembly's lower panel and rear panel which enables the rear panel to rotate greater than 90 degrees to the lower panel, providing improved functionality and accessibility during use.

  • Patent number: 12314890
Abstract: When a user accesses a seller webpage for an item for which expedited shipping is available, data regarding this access is provided to a separate fulfillment service that is able to deliver the item. A control on the webpage, that may be provided to the seller by the fulfillment service, presents an initial estimated delivery time based on the network address of the user's device and a known location of the item. The user may provide input to the control to access a user account, and a location for the user account may be used to update the estimated delivery time. If the item is purchased, the fulfillment service may determine payment information for the user account and process payment and delivery of the item. If an additional item not fulfilled by the fulfillment service is also purchased, data for this purchase is provided to the seller website for processing.
