  • Publication number: 20190265218
Abstract: Systems and method for detecting a concentration of a gas in a gas stream are disclosed. A method includes receiving a gas stream including a carrier gas and a processing gas. Bridge signals of a mass flow sensor are used to produce a processing-gas concentration signal and a gas-stream mass flow rate signal. The gas stream is controlled so a mass flow rate of the processing gas equals a processing-gas-setpoint signal. In some variations, the processing-gas-concentration signal is produced using an upstream temperature of the gas stream and a bridge-derived temperature.

  • Publication number: 20190265738
Abstract: Mass flow controllers and control valves are disclosed. A control valve includes a poppet including a plurality of vertical flow channels, and the control valve also includes an orifice element that includes a plurality of vertical flow channels extending from a bottom surface of the orifice element, through the orifice element, to a top surface of the orifice element. The vertical flow channels of the orifice element are axially misaligned with the vertical flow channels of the poppet to prevent gas from flowing through the orifice element when the gap between the top surface of the poppet and the bottom surface of the orifice element is closed.

  • Patent number: 10368364
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing network access services to mobile users via multi-user network access terminals over a multi-beam satellite system. Quality-of-service (QoS) is controlled for the mobile devices at a per-user level according to user-specific traffic policies Mobile users may be provisioned on the satellite system according to a set of traffic policies based on their service level agreement (SLA). System resources of the satellite may be allocated to mobile users based on the demand of each mobile user and the set of traffic polices associated with each mobile user, regardless of which multi-user network access terminal is used to access the system. Dynamic multiplexing of traffic from fixed terminals and mobile users on the same satellite beam can take advantage of statistical multiplexing of large numbers of users and on different usage patterns between fixed terminals and mobile users.

  • Publication number: 20190205514
Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method and system for authenticating users of an electronic device. In an example, data pertaining to a user of the electronic device is collected for authentication. The data is data indicative of an interaction behavior of the user with the electronic device. A deviation of the collected data from a behavior model of the user is checked. To generate the behavior model, data from multiple users is collected to create the behavior model corresponding to each of the users, each behavior model is indicative of data uncommon between the user corresponding to the behavior model and other users in the plurality of users to separate the user corresponding to the behavior model from other users in the multiple users. Further, an access control policy is enforced on the electronic device, based on the deviation of the collected data from the behavior model of the user.

  • Publication number: 20190090472
Abstract: A robotic orchard spraying system having autonomous delivery vehicles (ADV), each autonomously delivering an amount of a premixed solution over a non-overlapping path verified by a forward-looking sensor, video, or both. Also, a mobile control center, configured to wireles sly inform the autonomous delivery vehicle of the path within the areas and to confirm that the autonomous delivery vehicle is following the path within the area. Additionally, a mapper vehicle generates the path within the area, the mapper vehicle being configured to communicate information about the path and the area to the command center. The mapper vehicle senses the path with a forward-looking LiDAR sensor, and senses the area with a GPS sensor. Moreover, a nurse truck has a reservoir of premixed solution for replenishing a tank of the ADV. ADVs and the control center communicate over a radio network, which may be a mesh network, a cellular network, or both.

  • Publication number: 20190063294
Abstract: A decomposition reactor for an exhaust system includes an exterior component defining an internal volume and having an inlet and an outlet with the inlet and outlet are formed on a same side of the exterior component. A flow divider is positioned within the internal volume and defines a thermal management chamber and a main flow chamber. A first flow path of exhaust flows from the inlet into the main flow chamber to mix with dosed, and a second flow path of exhaust flows from the inlet into the thermal management chamber to control a temperature of a portion of the flow divider. In some implementations, one or more swirling diverters can be coupled to the flow divider and positioned proximate the outlet of the exterior component to impart a vortical motion to a combined reductant and exhaust gas flow exiting out the outlet.

  • Publication number: 20180348798
Abstract: Mass flow control systems and methods for controlling the mass flow rate of a gas through a primary conduit are disclosed. One mass flow control system includes a primary conduit for directing a flow of a gas and an adjustment system configured to divert a portion of the gas from the primary conduit to a secondary conduit and provide an adjustment signal that changes when a composition of the gas changes. A mass flow controller is operatively coupled to the primary conduit to control a primary flow rate of the gas. The mass flow controller includes a valve to control the primary flow rate of the gas and a control loop configured to receive the adjustment signal and control the valve to provide the primary flow rate of the gas at a set point.

  • Patent number: 10126761
Abstract: Gas insensitive systems and methods for controlling the mass flow rate of a gas through a primary conduit are disclosed. The method includes producing, in a secondary conduit, an assessment flow that has a changing pressure; calculating a first measure of a flow rate of the assessment flow based upon a rate-of-change of the pressure of the assessment flow; and measuring the assessment flow with a mass flow meter that is affected by the composition of the gas to produce a second measure of the assessment flow. An adjustment signal is generated based upon a difference between the first measure and the second measure, and a gas-corrected flow signal is generated by adjusting a measured-flow signal of a mass flow controller with the adjustment signal. The gas-corrected flow signal is used by the mass flow controller to control a flow rate of the gas through the primary conduit.
