  • Publication number: 20240119616
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, a system, and a non-transitory computer readable medium for determining diameter of an electrical transmission wire. The method includes receiving, on a processing server, data for one or more images, the one or more images including one or more electrical transmission wires captured by an optical instrument; receiving, by the processing server, a distance from the optical instrument to the one or more electrical transmission wires; receiving, by the processing server, a number of pixels across the one or more electrical transmission wires in the one or more images; and calculating, with the processing server, an estimated diameter of the one or more electrical transmission wires based on the distance from the optical instrument to the one or more electrical transmission wires and the number of pixels across the one or more electrical transmission wires in the one or more images.

  • Patent number: 11740231
Abstract: Provided are methods and articles of manufacture for use with cell therapy for the treatment of diseases or conditions, e.g., cancer, including for predicting and treating a toxicity. In some embodiments, the toxicity is a neurotoxicity or cytokine release syndrome (CRS), such as a severe neurotoxicity or a severe CRS. The methods generally involve detecting a marker by assaying a biological sample from a subject that is a candidate for treatment, optionally with a cell therapy, to determine if the subject is at risk for developing the toxicity, such as neurotoxicity or CRS or severe neurotoxicity or severe CRS. In some embodiments, the methods and articles of manufacture further includes a regent for assaying the biological sample and instructions for determining the percentage or number of cells positive for the marker in the biological sample.

  • Publication number: 20230181641
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of producing engineered T cell compositions enriched for CD57 negative and/or CD27 positive T cells, such as from a plurality of donors. In some embodiments, the T cells are engineered with a recombinant receptor, such as a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR). Also provided herein are engineered T cell compositions containing T cells enriched for CD57 negative and/or CD27 positive T cells derived from a plurality of different donors, including compositions in which the T cells are engineered with or express a recombinant receptor (e.g. CAR). Also provided are methods of using the engineered T cell compositions in adoptive therapy, including in connection for cancer immunotherapy, such as for allogeneic therapies or for administration to one or more subjects in which the T cells are not derived from the subject(s) to whom the compositions are administered.

  • Patent number: 11428802
Abstract: A system for localization includes a radar, a database, a simulator, a registrar, and a filter. The radar is positioned at a disposed location requiring localization. The radar generates a radar image scanning a proximity around the disposed location. The database stores features of a landmass. The simulator generates synthesized images of the features that the radar is predicted to generate from corresponding viewpoints. The registrar calculates respective correlation indicators between the radar image and each synthesized image. The filter sets a pose estimate of the disposed location to an average of those viewpoints from which correspond the synthesized images having the best or better ones of the correlation indicators.

  • Patent number: 9617719
Abstract: Integrated air conditioning and water-harvesting systems are disclosed. In these systems, one subsystem (air conditioning or water-harvesting) may be a primary subsystem and the other subsystem may be a secondary subsystem. As load on the overall system increases to the point the cooling demands for both subsystems cannot be met simultaneously, the system automatically reduces output of the secondary subsystem. In certain embodiments, an atmospheric water-harvester may be connected into the (potentially pre-existing) chilled-water system that provides cooling throughout a building, either via distributed fan-coil units or a centralized air-handling unit. Additionally, providing cooled-air exhaust from an atmospheric water-harvester to a building's cooling system allows substantial quantities of water to be produced at nominal incremental operating cost over a simple, straightforward air conditioning system.

  • Publication number: 20160195312
Abstract: A system that provides both air conditioning and atmospheric water-harvesting has a refrigerant compressor and a refrigerant condenser that serve separate evaporators for the air conditioning subsystem and the atmospheric water-harvesting subsystem. The system can be controlled to operate in one mode that maximizes water production output or another mode that maximizes efficiency in terms of water output per unit of electricity consumed. The ability to switch between maximized water production and maximized water-production efficiency can be implemented in a stand-alone, dedicated water-harvesting system as well.
