Abstract: Systems and methods facilitate managing allocation of contested resources between full bidding entities and fractional bidding entities. Systems identify a contested resource and determine a quantity of shares for the contested resource. Systems also identify different bidding entities, including full bidding entities and fractional bidding groups, with each fractional bidding group comprising multiple fractional bidding entities. During an auction, systems determine that a first total bid amount from a first bidding entity meets a first asking price, while a second total bid amount from a second bidding entity does not meet a second asking price. If the first bidding entity is a fractional bidding group, the systems allocate different subsets of shares to the different fractional bidding entities in the group. Alternatively, if the first bidding entity is a full bidding entity, the systems allocate all of the predetermined quantity of shares to the first bidding entity.

Abstract: Systems and methods are used for generating and updating user interfaces for facilitating an auction for contested resources and for enabling fractional bidding entities registered to place fractional bids for fractional ownership of the contested resources and full bidding entities registered to place full bids for full ownership of the contested resources. For example, systems are configured to generate and display bidder user interfaces, auctioneer user interfaces, and auction clerk interfaces that can be dynamically updated throughout an auction.

When a bidding amount at least meets the current asking price, the systems terminate the current bidding round and initiate a new bidding round with a new, higher asking price for the contested resource.

Systems identify different bidding entities, including full bidding entities and fractional bidding entities, that are bidding on a contested resource. In an initial bidding round corresponding to an initial asking price of the contested resource, the systems receive bidding requests from different bidding entities. The systems determine whether the bidding entity associated with a particular bidding request is a fractional bidding entity or a full bidding entity and whether the particular bidding request meets predetermined bidding criteria. If the bidding request meets the bidding criteria, the systems accept the bidding request and place the bid at the bidding amount. If the bidding request was from a fractional bidding entity, the systems define a fractional bidding group for the initial bidding round including multiple fractional bidding entities.

Abstract: Systems and methods for indicating the performance of a plurality of players playing a video game simulating a rock band experience may include: calculating a player score for each player playing a rhythm action game within a band, each player score representing the performance level of a particular player; calculating a composite score for the band playing a rhythm action game, the composite score based in part on a performance level associated with each player within the band; displaying the composite score on a performance meter as a performance level; and displaying each player score on the performance meter as a graphical indication positioned on the meter at a position corresponding to the calculated player score.

Abstract: A method for combining vocal cues and percussion cues for a player of a rhythm action game during a song comprises: displaying, in a rhythm action game, a lane comprising cues corresponding to a vocal track of a song; displaying, on the lane during the song, at least one cue corresponding to a percussion element of the song; evaluating, with a first gameplay mechanic, a player's performance with respect to the cues corresponding to a vocal elements; and evaluating, with a second gameplay mechanic, the player's performance with respect to the cues corresponding to the percussion element. Such a method may be used to keep a vocalist engaged during portions of a song with no vocals.

Abstract: A method for displaying musical data in three dimensions includes displaying musical data along a spatial path that does not lie within the image plane of a display. Graphical symbols corresponding to the musical data may be displayed on graphical surfaces aligned with the spatial path. The graphical surfaces form, in some embodiments, a tunnel through which the time axis associated with the musical data runs. The musical data may be manipulated to provide the viewer with the appearance of motion along the time axis associated with the musical data. In some embodiments, the viewer is represented by a virtual camera in the three-dimensional environment and the virtual camera is “moved” to provide the appearance of motion. A corresponding apparatus is also discussed.
