  • Publication number: 20210154894
Abstract: A method of forming a polymeric vacuum insulation board is provided, the polymeric vacuum insulation board including a plurality of evacuated, closed-cell pores therein. In one embodiment, the method includes intermixing a polymer with zeolite particles that contain water and extruding the resulting composition under high pressure. During extrusion, water in the zeolite particles evaporates and creates a porous, closed-cell microstructure within a polymer matrix. As the polymer matrix cools and solidifies, water vapor is reabsorbed by the zeolite, which at least partially evacuates the closed-cell pores. In another embodiment, the method includes intermixing a polymer with expandable graphite particles and extruding the resulting composition under high pressure. During extrusion, the expandable graphite particles define evacuated voids. The polymer binder can be selected to include low gas permeance, for example ethylene vinyl alcohol (EvOH) or polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC).

  • Publication number: 20210151125
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for quantifying and deconvolving nucleic acid mixture samples including nucleic acid of one or more contributors having known or unknown genomes. The methods and systems provided herein implement processes that use Bayesian probabilistic modeling techniques to determine the abundances and confidence intervals of genetically distinct contributors in a chimerism sample, thereby improving specificity, accuracy and sensitivity, and greatly expanded the application scope over conventional methods.

  • Publication number: 20210132761
Abstract: A method for dynamically spatially visualizing in real time or historically tag localization and sensing data in a User Interface through the combined GUI elements of a Floor Layout view. An indoor map view visually indicates tags as colored dots moving within boundaries of Readers. Localization data from these tags are used to position and move them in a spatially accurate way.

  • Publication number: 20210132369
Abstract: An acquisition and tracking sensor includes a quad detector with a narrow field of view (NFOV) and a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) mirror with a wide field of view (WFOV). The quad detector is placed behind the MEMS mirror to produce a WFOV to allow the quad detector to scan a larger area for the incoming laser beam.

  • Publication number: 20210125919
Abstract: A memory array comprising strings of memory cells comprises laterally-spaced memory blocks individually comprising a vertical stack comprising alternating insulative tiers and conductive tiers. Operative channel-material strings of memory cells extend through the insulative tiers and the conductive tiers. First dummy pillars in the memory blocks extend through at least a majority of the insulative tiers and the conductive tiers through which the channel-material strings extend. Second dummy pillars are laterally-between and longitudinally-spaced-along immediately-laterally-adjacent of the memory blocks. The second dummy pillars extend through at least a majority of the insulative tiers and the conductive tiers through which the operative channel-material strings extend laterally-between the immediately-laterally-adjacent memory blocks. Other embodiments, including method, are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210033770
Abstract: A first layer of anisotropic material extends along a first plane and includes anisotropic components being parallel to a second plane non-parallel and non-perpendicular to the first plane. The anisotropic components are arranged in cycloidal or helical patterns. The cycloidal or helical patterns define one or more Bragg planes that are non-parallel and non-perpendicular to the first plane and either substantially parallel or substantially perpendicular to the second plane.
